Bottle from Foodshow. A little old at this point I guess. Light honeydew melon and sweety fruit nose with some sugar and maybe sudachi? Body is very soda-like with a slight syrupiness. Cloying and sweet, but the fruit is there. Alcopop but like some of the johana’s not entirely awful. To be clear though, not a beer, fruit beer, but more of a soda fruit beer. jinroh (2005) - ESTONIA - DEC 31, 2014
From tap at Beerfes Tokyo. Pours hazy pale, thin layer of foam. Aroma is somewhat fresh but not in the usual way. Green fruits, a berry with some resins. Tastes sweet. At first it’s just sweet, then hops disappear and what’s left is skunky sweetness. Some fruits add on later which makes it more tolerable. Well, quite exciting though, not really sure if I’d want to have it again.

On tap at the Kyoto Beer Fest 2014. Brewmaster was bafflingly popular at the event. A nice honey gold pour with a beige head that lingers and appetizing cabos fruit spritzy aroma. Medium bodied the taste is a bit cloying or medicinal fruitiness. Think some kind of citrusy sweet soda. Not really beer like & kind of cloying... biirusaikou (2705) - - OCT 7, 2013
Honey aroma. Sweet yuzu-like juice flavor. More of a fruit panache than a usual beer, but works quite well, and puts emphasis on nice local products. sulawang (1171) - - JAN 26, 2012
pours slightly cloudy marmalade orange, quickly dissipating head, minor ringed retention, lots of active CO2 streams, no lacing. Fruity orange/lemon scent. Drinks with thicker than water viscosity, instant bitter カボス peel up front, lime-lemon-yuzu like pulpy sweetness in the mid, 6/10 mellow honey sweetness until the off-dry 2/10 bitter finish. Lots of aromatic citrus fruit on the exhale. Medium-high complexity, med-high depth, excellent carry, silky mouthfeel, med-long length. Quite extraordinary for a fruity ale to have such depth, complexity, and balance.

Bottle. Cloudy pale yellow with a small, fast disappearing head. Overpowering lime aroma. Tastes like lime lemonade, though with a sweet and spicy honey tang. A refreshing and somewhat original lemonade, but very little beer character. faroeviking (11024) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 7, 2009

Bottle @ Mondial 2009.
Nose is funky. fruity and yeasty, opaque golden/orange, small off-white head. Taste is honey, malt and lemons. Light bodied, balance works quite well, pleasantly sweet and surprisingly drinkable. Really good! KyotoLefty (10524) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle at the brewery.
Very sweet honey and citrus balance. Very extreme flavors of the additives cover up what seems to be very mediocre beer. Bitter-sour finish is pretty nice. Sweet, fruity, rather pleasant drink, but not very beer-like.
