12 oz. bottle, sent from northernbrews (thanks a lot, Jeff), pours a deep dark, dark mahogany / brown with a small beige head. Nose is full of candied sugar and Belgian yeast - smells authentic enough. Flavour reveals the same candied sugar notes, with lots of Belgian yeast, caramel and a bit of banana. Quite lively carbonation, which is noticeable right at the beginning of the first sip. Not very complex - quite simplistic, with the candied sugar dominating, though it is by no means cloying. Decent Americanized dubbel. TBone (18228) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 19, 2013

Dark, almost opaque black color, small beige head. Caramel, cola, licorice in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, caramelly (cola candy!), low bitterness, dryish finish with some licorice. Also candy sugar and grapes. Interesting bockish dessert beer.
