Trade extra from FlandersNed-thanks, Steve! Dec. 12 bottle. Dark golden brown with no lacing. Nose is a little banana, bubble gum, and some spice. Spice and sweetness and rustic rye is present in the taste, with some orange citrus. Bitter hop finish. Good, and alcohol is well integrated, but palate is pretty fatigued from the hops at the end of this one from the hops. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2013
This one poured a dark amber to red color with an off white head. Aroma was light citrus, some dark fruits, and belgian spices. Flavor was similar, a strong belgian ipa, hops pretty subdued in taste, just balance out the sweetness of the best of the beer. Ok.

Soft banana strong yeast nasal tickle. A good genuine brown with significant translucence. Better than I expected. The Belgian yeast isn’t assassinated by a bunch of hops; indeed, the hops in this, while certainly present, are largley in balance with both yeast and hops, particularly by flavor. If anything, a bit too much yeast for my taste. And the balance feels just right too. This one is an interesting blend of not very exciting, but very little to complain about. superspak (6015) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2013
12 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, 2012 Winter solstice bottling. Pours fairly crystal clear orange copper color with a small fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of mango, orange, banana, pear, apricot, clove, pepper, bubblegum, caramel, bread, and earthy yeast spiciness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruitiness, spicy esters, and malt notes. Taste of orange, mango, banana, pear, clove, bubblegum, pepper, caramel, toast, brown bread, and earthy yeast esters. Light spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tropical fruit, citrus, banana, pear, clove, bubblegum, pepper, caramel, toast, brown bread, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruitiness, spicy esters, and malt; with a great balance of sweetness/spiciness; and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy, slick, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Very smooth to sip for being 9.25%. Overall this is a very nice Belgian IPA. Good balance and complexity of fruity, spicy, and malt notes; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering. salvaticas (979) - - MAR 2, 2013
On tap, blind tiger NYC. Not very hoppy, bit of a syrupy flavor, but still pretty smooth. Not bad

Draught at Blind Tiger. Pours beautiful clear copper with a medium foamy white head. Smells of spicy yeast and hops. Tastes fairly bitter of ryle malt and some hops. Bitter finish but pleasant.
