On tap at Mich Brewer’s Fest. 8% ABV. 100% pepper beer. Decidedly still beer, but decidedly emphasizing pepper flavor (at some heat, especially in the finish). Really captured the pepper flavor well, beyond that it was standard ale I suppose. Tmoney99 (14772) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 6, 2010
Sample at MBGSF10. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy peppers and spice aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex hot spice flavor with a medium to heavy hot finish of moderate to long duration. Another complex good brew for style. alexsdad06 (10596) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 9, 2011
Sample @ MBGSF. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a small white head. The aroma had caramel malt sweetness, an earthy note and spicy peppers. The flavor had a strange maltiness, a big spicy pepper component, a hint of smoke and light fruits. Interesting and worth trying once. Drake (14045) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 25, 2010
Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a brown color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of spicy chili peppers. The taste is peppers, chocolate and light fruity notes. Medium bodied with a lingering heat. j12601 (12982) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 12, 2010
Pouring at the Michigan Brewers Festival during RBSG. Pours a dusty brown with a thin beige head. Light pepper spice on the nose. Medium bodied, malty, caramel and a little bit of alcohol. Malt and toasted chocolate. Long slow gentle spice to it with malt and caramel before a light bitterness.

score!!! dug this bad boy out of the ratings archives from michigan summer beerfest 2010. draft pours light amber with not much head. aroma of a little malt and spice from chilis. decent chili beer but not cave creek:) puzzl (3260) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 2, 2010
Tap at MBGSF. A pepper beer. A barleywine. Not exactly the combination one is looking for during a 97 degree outdoor festival. This is heavy and harsh, and all the intense bitterness and sweetness that comes with a big barleywine is exaggerated here by the chilis. On another day, I may have enjoyed this more.
