Tap 5-12-07. Black with tan head. Huge banana and chocolate up front. light roast. Flavor much the same, just enough banana, with huge milk chocolate and faint roast. Sort of a dry cocoa finish. Creamy body/mouthfeel. Well done. sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 26, 2007
On tap @ the brewpub: Poured black with a tan head. Aroma, banana, light roasted malts, some chocolate. Flavor, yeast, banana, chocolate, and roasted malts. Pretty good actually. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - JUN 9, 2007
Black pour with a 1 finger off-white head. Lots of real banana flavor, not the kind of estery banana flavor. Some vanilla and cocoa with a dry finish. Medium-thin creamy body. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - MAY 30, 2007
Black body with creamy tan head. The aroma is milk chocolate and lots of real, ripe bananas. The flavor is ripe bananas, caramel and chocolate. Medium body with a very soft, creamy texture and light carbonation.

On draft @ Kuhnhenn. Pours black with creamy tan head. Banana aroma with sweeter malts in the back. Interesting. Big banana hit up front. Then creamy roasted, burnt and hints of chocolate malts follow up behind. Then in the finish the banana ends up on top of the flavor. A bit too much banana. ogglethorp (917) - Ohio, USA - MAR 3, 2007
Tap. Pours the wierdest murky yellowish brown color, with a yellow highlighted brown head. Looks like chocolate milk, for real. Aroma is green banana, rosted malts. Flavor is green banana, chocolate malts, some coffee like notes. Palate is full bodied, mildly carbonated, creamy, semi-sweet finsh. Huge points for creativity and execution, because this could’ve been a train wreck. Dextolen (151) - Michigan, USA - DEC 8, 2005
Tap. Dark brown/black with a foamy, light chocolate colored head. It goes without saying that banana dominated the aroma, but there was some chocolatey malt there too. Very creamy, smooth moutfeel. A pleasant beer to drink. Sweet, mellow banana taste. Reminds me of a candy from childhood, but I can’t recall the name. tiggmtl (4544) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2005
Strong banana and chocolate in the aroma with some sweet notes of maple. Opaque dark brown with decent sized, fine-bubbled, tan head that recedes to thick ring and partial cover with light, patchy lace. Bananas, chocolate and maple are all strong and well balanced in the flavour. Roastiness emerges in the moderately bitter finish. Medium body with lively, finely prickly carbonation that engages the tongue. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival 2005.

Sampled on tap at the Michigan Brewers Fest. Giant chocolaty-banana nose offers hints of rum and lots of caramel malt...it emanates from a dark, dark brown, very nearly black body with just a wisp of head...body is chocolaty-sweet at first, with some dry cardboardy qualities sweeping in, touches of baked bananas, little sweetness in the middle and late portions of the palate, milky and slightly thin. Very good for most brewers, this is a bit of a letdown for these guys IMHO.
