Bottle graciously shared by doodler. Stop doodling and start noodling! Fairly clear brown appearance with little head. Aroma is straight up blueberry preserves with some caramel and brown sugar. Mouth feel is a bit goopy but not horrible. Sure, it’s sweet and high boost but it sure is hidden well. A treat to try.

Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of blueberry, caramel and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart warming finish. Flavors of blueberry, caramel, toffee and light tobacco with a crisp dry tart warming lingering blueberry finish.

From notes. Enjoyed at Doug’s house for the Whale Tasting and Poker Night, almost 18 months in planning. 375 mL bottle, 2012 vintage. The pour is a dirty deep purple brown color with a thin ring of light khaki colored head and a couple long legs as it falls down. This smells great. It’s like blueberry juice. The flesh, skins, everything blueberry and I just love it. The smooth fruit and no alcohol. The flavor is a little sharper. There is a light alcohol aspect to the flavor of it, but it’s so balanced and lovely. It’s a little harsher than I’d like, but it does much better than the barrel aged version. The mouth feel is thicker and heavy with a very soft carbonation and a lingering blueberry skin and hint of flesh. Oh man. This is just spectacular. Thanks Tommy!

2012 bottle, shared by Tom - thanks! Deep murky purple pour, hazy and a massive blueberry nose. Super boozy blueberry. Really cool to try but I wonder if it’s just past it’s prime?

Bottle thanks to Tom! Murky brown pour with hardly any head whatsoever. Not a prettt beer. Nose is interesting. Blueberry. A bit of tart forest fruit skin. Flavor is very rich and sweet. Dark but bread. Chocolate cake. Some mildly tart juicy blueberry. Full body, oily. A bit hot. Lovely.

Bottle shared by Tom - thanks! Weird murky greenish reddish brown pour - weird color. Seedy jammy blueberry. Quite good.

Bottle courtesy of linusb. Murky bluish deep brown pour with a very small beige head. Huge caramel, toffee & blueberry jam nose. Chocolate, leather & raisins. Sweet jammy fruity taste. Round, viscous, full bodied mouth. Really cool beer and I’m #blessed to get to try it. Perhaps a bit over the top age-wise but still delicious.

Bottle thanks to Colin. Pours a dark purple with no head. The aroma is blueberry, honey, booze. Thick body, jammy, berry, honey, nice booze, really enjoyed this.
