The aroma is blueberries, malts, cereal grains. The appearance is deep purple, small off-white head. The flavor is blueerries, not overly sweet, earthy, griany sort of flavor. The finish is blueberries, some tannins. Medium in body. Ok. Sounded cooler than it really was. jredmond (8645) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 25, 2013
Draft at Torst with Clockwork and Joel. Pours a deep body with thick off white head. Aroma is blueberries and fruit juice. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of blueberries, fruit juice, wine and light breadiness. Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2013
A dark pinkish blue with a thin purple head. In aroma,, nice blueberry juice witg light malt overtone. In mouth, a sweet blueberry juice with malt but there are some hops here that just dont fit, astringent. The body is light and dry. So-so.

Tap at Barcade: Hazy deep purple pour. Huge blueberry aroma. Sweet and one dimensional. Tannin heavy body with a huge blueberry skin flavor, with both sweetness and bitterness. Has a husky note as well. Long tannins coat the palate. Notes of papery oxidation and muted inky fig. Too many tannins; borderline astringent. dogfishho (669) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - JUN 14, 2013
The aroma is stunningly strong with a sweet blueberry syrup smell. No tartness or funk like most fruit beers. In the palate the sweetness and effervescence are dominant on the open but the maple cleanup in the end is wonderful. Super cool.

Smell was ridiculous, fresh pancake batter and blueberry. Taste fell flat for me. Some blueberry there but did not live up to the nose jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 12, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2013 Draft. Pours purple with pink head. Nose of fresh blueberry, blueberry syrup, malt and maple. Taste is same but more malt and less fresh blueberry. Lighter medium body. Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - APR 6, 2013
Growler served in a Jester King chalice. Thanks to nasty31 for sharing.
A: Pours a semi hazy ruby color with a whitish head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin ring to leaves some splotches of lace.
S: Straight up blueberry pancakes. Cooked blueberries with a sweet batter smell. Cooked pancakes with a sweet syrup smell also.
T: Tastes the exact same as the smell. Sauteed blueberries with a cooked pancake sweetness. A syrupy sweetness with a sugary fruitiness as well. Raw pancake batter as well.
M: The problem lies here as this growler was pretty much flat. It detracted from the drinkability and I needed some carbonation to cut some of sweetness.
O: Despite the flatness of the beer I still enjoyed this. It was really intriguing and I’d like to try some of the other Kuhnhenn Breakfast of Champions beers.

Growler. Looks to have seeped just a bit but there was still a fair amount of carbonation. Pours a deep purple to brown with very thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is uber sweet candy blueberry, slight maple syrup and malt. Taste is upfront blueberry soda followed by syrup and caramel sweetness. The beer ends up being too sweet and not carbed enough to really enjoy. I’m sure some of this had to do with the carb level but the taste just wasn’t there and I got very little bready pancake. Growler split with Joe and Alan, pours hazy red orange with thin head and not much lacing. Aromas of heavy bluberry, sweet malts, and light pancake. Flavor has sweet bluberries, gingerbread, belgian spice, and lots of malt. Medium to fuller body. Active carbonation. Lacks some balance and needs more pancake flavor. Still a very interesting brew from Kuhnhenn.
