UPDATED: JUL 25, 2013 Draft. Pours purple with pink head. Nose of fresh blueberry, blueberry syrup, malt and maple. Taste is same but more malt and less fresh blueberry. Lighter medium body. Lubiere (13898) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2013
A dark pinkish blue with a thin purple head. In aroma,, nice blueberry juice witg light malt overtone. In mouth, a sweet blueberry juice with malt but there are some hops here that just dont fit, astringent. The body is light and dry. So-so.

Growler... This beer rocks!… Pours clear and dark purple with flashes of crimson and a small, creamy, violet head. Smells like a blessed marriage of 100% blueberry juice and cookie dough. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and relaxed carbonation. Sweet blueberry juice and enough lightly bitter roastiness and mildly tart acidity to keep the residual sugar from becoming annoying and cloying. Lengthy, blueberry, sweet-tangy finish. I’m going against the grain here. Another world-class beer from Kuhnhenn - shared with the south Florida crew by biggsbowler! MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2005

Blueberries leap out of the glass, bursting out from the jiggling tower of foam. Oranges and yeast accompany the blueberries boldly, and loads of sediment defy the weary onlookers.
A prominent yeast recalls that of Fantôme’s, as does the fruitiness of prevalent oranges, lemons and peaches, and the vivacious carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and serves the authentic blueberries on a sweet and acidic platter.
Slowly but surely building energy after a night of camping in the country, aroused by the surrounding life.
Draft at Torst with Clockwork and Joel. Pours a deep body with thick off white head. Aroma is blueberries and fruit juice. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of blueberries, fruit juice, wine and light breadiness.

Growler split with Joe and Alan, pours hazy red orange with thin head and not much lacing. Aromas of heavy bluberry, sweet malts, and light pancake. Flavor has sweet bluberries, gingerbread, belgian spice, and lots of malt. Medium to fuller body. Active carbonation. Lacks some balance and needs more pancake flavor. Still a very interesting brew from Kuhnhenn. ClarkVV (6700) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 29, 2004
2004 draught at Michigan Brewers Festival. Pours a deep purple/dark blue with some lighter violet tinges and a small beige colored head. Nice and thick. Aroma has very fruity blueberries; sweet and ripe, with a sugary malt note on the backend. Flavor is lightly bitter and pleasingly fruity without being watery and weak. Lots of blueberries, but an equal dose of sweet malt and some bitter hops hold this one together well. Finishes bitter and a bit loose textured, but not watery. Mouthfeel is a touch gritty, seems very similar to a glass of blueberry juice with lots of pulp in it. Not sure of the alcohol content on this one, but it’s not apparent. This one poured a bright blueish purple color with a minimal pink hued head. Aroma was just straight blueberries, light funky cheeseyness blueberries have, and some buttery buckwheat notes too. Flavor is just almost completely spot on, lots of blueberry notes, lightly wild, followed by pancake butter and grainieness. Not sure how they really could have done this one any better. Thanks Walleye for the bottle: Pours a deep reddish hue with a mostly lasting head and good lace. Truth in advertising...yup, blueberry pancakes is most of the aroma and quite inviting for the blueberry fan. Some dusty and floral esters appear every so often and even a hit of barnyard funk. The taste starts again with the blueberry but less dominating than in the aroma. You can pick out some notes of roasted malts and lightly earthy finish. The feel is lively and a touch mineral laden. This is good but I still like a few other blueberry infused beers better. Still worthy of a try if you dig this kind of thing. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAR 17, 2015
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy blueberry pancake batter. It pours a dark orangish-brown with a one finger off-white head that eventually fades to a thin film. The flavor starts a quick dose of caramel and light grapes. The finish has moderate-heavy blueberries with a touch of cereal grains. It?s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall, maybe nitpicking, but this makes me think more of blueberry Eggo waffles than pancakes.
