Boutip (6428) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2005
Sample at the Mondiale 2005: Poured a weird orangey/brown color ale with a weird foamy head with limited retention. Aroma is solely constituted of pancake blueberry. I’m sure I can smell the flour and the fresh blueberry. Blueberry, white flour and butter also dominate taste. Some sourness in the aftertaste was a bit odd and difficult to explain but was still enjoyable. Overall, this is a very good blueberry beer.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2005
Dark gold hue, beige bubbly head gives trouble upon pouring. Obvious blueberry and bready yeast in the aroma, very sweet, almost cough syrup like, but not overwhelming. Nicely tart on the palate, it is unable to find a path through the syrupy sweetness and the overall balance is not the best I’ve encountered from Kuhnhenn’s fruit beers. Tart grainy fruit purée, pie-like, desserty and highly yeasty. Foamy palate proposes explosive big bubbles and an overall gazy profile.

muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 7, 2005
Sample at the Mondial, from 12 oz bottle (I think). Tiny swirls of dried berry-bits suspended in a cloudy dark amber body with remnants of a foamy ring...aroma of, umm, blueberry pancakes, or the batter from which they are made...body a bit too acidic, one-note fruity, tasty to my fruit-beer loving palate but without enough malt for most...still, an interesting and worthwhile experiment, and probably better on tap or from bottles not sitting too long in the sun...

Palme (4812) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 6, 2013
On tap @ Tørst. Deep dark purple blue on the glass this and it has a nice medium sized lacing and sidesticking kinda pinkish top. Lovely sweet blueberry and raspberry concentrate aroma. It basically smells like nosing juice from the childhood - added tons and tons of sugar. Almost artificial in the aroma. Weird flavor. It has lots of blueberries, but also a salty almost ammonia like thing. Blue cheese, mustard seeds and artificial raspberry juice. It’s light oily on the mouthfeel and the carbonation level is quite high. It smelled better than it tasted, but it’s definitely a interesting one. 12.06.2013

tiggmtl (4544) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2005
Blueberry aroma is strong with hefty undertones of pastry dough. Cloudy, murky, tan-brown with a light ring of white head and lots of suspended fruit. Blueberry flavour is strong with lightly tart, acetic sourness. Medium body with strong, prickly carbonation. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005.

jsquire (4537) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - MAR 22, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Dark beer with a violet foam for a head. Blueberry and sugar nose. This is a blueberry forward beer with some maple syrup notes. It is reminiscent of the last bite of blueberry pancake when you sop up all the syrup.

DYCSoccer17 (3705) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 2, 2005
Bottle at Mondial 2005. Sweet, yeasty banana aroma with some sour berries present and a bit of butteriness. Very hazy rusty orange color with a small tan head and lots of blueberry sediment. Slightly sweet acidic berry aroma to start. Finishes bland, and watery. This is entirely way too thin and quite underwhelming.

50belair (3670) - Florida, USA - APR 29, 2014
Growler shared by Randall. Purplish brown pour with a fleeting white head. Welch’s grape soda bouquet. Grape, blueberry, and biscuit notes. Average body and mouthfeel.

umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Draft on St Patty’s. Pours dark amber-purple with a small head that lingers a bit. Aroma and taste is blueberry pancakes and I really enjoyed this beer. This was the best of the breakfast beers by far. Nice medium body, smooth finish. Yum.

beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2005
Sampled at le Mondial de la bière 2005. Pours a slightly cloudy caramel / brown color with a thin white head. Aroma of blueberries with a doughy element, maybe it comes from the yeast. Ordinary flavor of mild blueberries. Light body, dry mouthfeel, soft carbonation.
