Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2011
Entered to celebrate my 7900th Rating. Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, Ulfborg 2011. Pours cloudy amber with a small off white head. Bourbon, dark fruit , caramel and vanilla. So uffin complex. Kahlua, coffee and sweet milk - just much more complex. This is amazing. Sippable...

Benzai (15608) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 10, 2012
355ml bottle bottle thanks to dEnk. Very dark brown color with a dark red glare coming through. Small to medium sized, light brown head that disappears fairly quickly but leaves a fair lacing in the glass. Smell dark and roasted malts, wood, liquor, a slight hint of coffee. Taste malts, roasted malts, caramel, liquor (so I guess bourbon), lightly sweet. A bit thinnish body in the beginning, but somehow after swallowing it gets more thick. Nice one!

Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Butterscotch, vanilla, bourbon, and raisin. Deep cloudy brown with a small off white head. Bourbon, anise, raisin, plum and a bit of roast with barrel notes throughout. Nice, but I actually like the regular better.

[5/4/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Dark amber-brown. Big malty aroma with caramel, bourbon, chocolate and vanilla. Sweet flavor with malt, chocolate, vanilla, nuts and caramel. Full-bodied. Good stuff.

Scopey (14730) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2013
2010 (bottle acquired via trade) at THE others tasting. It pours deep red-brown with a limited beige head. The nose is meaty, oxo cubes, beef, wood, earth, toasted coconut, hint of bourbon, faint blue cheese and some alcohol warmth. The taste is wood, meaty, earth, big alcohol warmth, bourbon, sticky dark fruit, caramel, dark chocolate and varnish, with a dry, warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Nice depth of flavour, but the alcohol warmth spoils it for me.

3.2
djd07 (14508) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 16, 2013
Small bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is caramel and brown sugar and molasses. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet roast and oak with alcohol present in the finish. Good.

3.8
