Still mead, 2012 bottle. Crystal clear pale yellow pour. Bottle all to myself! Amazing nose on this. Right up there with my most memorable aroma experiences: New Glarus Very Sour Blackberry and Goose Island 2013 Proprietors. Honey quickly moves to cinnamon and vanilla with bourbon and banana on the back end. Taste is really nice as well, but damn, that nose is something to experience.

Bottle shared, 2012 vintage. Pours clear golden with a few bubbles that disappear quickly. Aroma of spice upfront, Christmas spices, cinnamon, hazelnut coming out, honey, floral notes, light perfume, banana, oak, toffee and vanilla. Flavour is light heavy sweet. Warming in the palate and the finish, you can tell the alcohol is there but its not in a nasty way. It comes across slightly watery in the start but quickly develops into a heavy spice and long sweet middle/finish with some raisin and overripe dark fruit aspects coming out. On of the most complex meads Ive tried.

Pale yellow pour with no head. The aroma is immense vanilla, cinnamon, french toast, ripe banana and floral clover honey. The flavor follows through from the aroma but is slightly less sweet than the aroma with pronounced clover, wildflowers and fresh banana. The body is sticky and smooth with a solid alcohol warming on the finish.

Clear, yellow-gold color, no head, and some legs after swirling. Intense, ripe banana aroma with hints of cinnamon, honey, pecans, toasty caramel, vanilla extract, and a hint of bourbon on the finish. Then flavor is bourbon, fusel alcohol, and vanilla upfront with a wave of banana, toasted pecans, and cinnamon in the middle and finishing wit some clover honey and light fruit. Sticky viscous body with an alcohol kick.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2013 Big thanks to Dean for sharing this. Pours a clear honey yellow gold with no head. Aroma is sweet with cinnamon, banana, syrup and of course some honey. Flavor is similar with sweet banana and honey in the start with cinnamon and syrup notes growing towards the finish. This is a pretty crazy mead!

Bottle thanks to Jim. Pours clear bright yellow color, bubbles here and there. Aroma is maple syrup, burnt sugars, frech toast (?) - crazy right? I cant really pick out the bananas. Light barrel notes, but not as much bourbon as I was expecting. Tates like maple syrup, sugary sweetness, toasted nuts, vanilla, and a little more oak and bourbon here then compared to the nose. Light body, goes down easy. This mead is simply amazeballs...Ive never had anything like this, even with all the meads Ive had from Kuhnhenn. Amazing stuff.

Much thanks Jeff for sharing this at DorkLordDay 2012, yep I kept the bottle: Beautiful golden hue with minimal head or lace but quite oily. The nose has BIG sweet french toast character of cinnamon, bread and marzipan with some clove and banana coming in and out of play. I found some honey and slight bourbon character as well. Very intoxicating and sinful!

The taste starts with strong honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and bready overtones. A tad flowery and slightly spicy midsection before running off towards a moderately boozy, umani savory finish. Insanely complex, massive sweetness, and everything you would want in a dessert mead. The mouth feel is lush and sticky with a nice warming sensation that did not burn like some meads would. This is just Fing YUMMY, worthy of the hype and it is not often I can say that anymore.

A clear light yellow colored beer, with no head. The aroma of bananas, caramel, almond, toast some wood and alcohol. The taste of burny alcohol with fruits like banana and almond and wood notes. The aftertaste is burny, alcohol and sweet.
