Nip bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours golden leaving some beautiful legs on the glass. Smell is sweet and floral with honey, caramel, vanilla fudge, butterscotch hard candy, charred wood, pollen, bees wax, bourbon alcohol and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, floral and slightly boozy. Mouthfeel is round, tiny viscous, slightly sticky sweet, boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with honey, caramel, vanilla, charred wood, pollen, bourbon alcohol and lemon peal. Very tasty traditional mead with a prominent yet tasty barrel presence. Perhaps a bit hot but that’s understandable given the abv. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2015

Tasting courtesy of dschiller. I will preface by saying I have not had a lot of meads, so while enjoyed this experience it is not something I am used to. Pours a bright gold and when swirled leaves behind a nice glaze clinging to the glass. Aromas are very sweet though not cloying with mainly apple and just a touch of some wood. Flavors are sweet, somewhat maple-like with apple and maybe caramel. Palate is nicely thick and tongue coating though it gets a little much towards the finish. Overall this was a quite enjoyable experience, though I don’t like sweet drinks this one isn’t cloying like I find most ciders or sweet beers. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Nip bottle from Rayl101! Pours a still deep golden color with long legs on the side of my teku glass. Aroma is bourbon, rich honey and some fruitiness. Taste is sweet with caramel, vanilla and wood notes. Slick, rich and decadent. Awesome! ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle from trade with Sarro. Pours a light golden body with no head (of course). Nose is boozy honey tones with nuts, wood and hints of bourbon; not as evident as I expected. Taste is moderately sweet but actually rather dry honey notes, with subtle bourbon tones. Dry, with a generally smooth palate. Very nice, but not horribly exciting. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Nip sized bottle. 2012 Vintage. Golden color with no head. Aromas of honey, oaky/woodiness, and some fruitiness. Tastes of honey, apples, fruity, and vanilla. Almost more of a cider than a mead. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JAN 13, 2013
2012 anno, bottle courtesy of ibrew2or3, cheers Dave.
