Bottle at Sweet & Sour, Stila, 2014-08-30. Hazy orange color, no head. Caramel and coconut aroma, candy, toffee, vanilla, cream, honey, floral notes. Caramel flavor, coconut, candy, toffee, raisins, candy, banana notes. Too sweet, even for a mead.

Bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Number 8 of 144. Pours clear reddish amber. Nose/taste of fresh coconut, caramel, brown sugar and honey. Lots of coconut in the taste. Sweet, semi dry finish. Medium body.

Nip sized bottle. Label labeled batch 021208. Poured a clear golden color with no head. Aromas of lots of coconut, some vanilla, and some caramel - but lots of coconut. Tastes of caramel (more than in the aromas), coconut, vanilla, and honey sweetness. Again, not a mead or coconut fan, but this one is pretty damn good.

Bottle This mead rocks! Clear, light copper mead with great, centipede-like legwork. The bouquet is a decadent, candy-like marriage of caramel, coconut and vanilla. Full-bodied and oily with no carbonation. The flavor supplies loads of sweet banana, caramel, coconut and clean honey. Sugary, rich, coconut and raw honey finish. Awesome! Bottle courtesy of dmschefke!

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Poured a clear creamy caramel brown with no head whatsoever. Aroma was full of coconut with a bit of caramel and some alcohol. Kind of reminded me of sunscreen. Flavor was extremely sweet with caramel, coconut and honey. Way too sweet, even for a mead.

Bottle shared at Woodshop 10 thanks to richiesd. Clear amber pour, good legs upon swirl. Big coconut cake nose, super rich. Flavor is more mild, some sweet coconut cake, low caramel, flan, not too sticky. Quite nice and really not over the top and certainly not too sweet or boozy.

Bottle 12 fl oz at Sweet & Sour, Stila, 2014-08-30. Thanks to _angst_! Marked 12% ABV, but feels a whole lot more like the RB stated 16%!
The name makes it sound absolutetly disgusting, but tried to sample and rate it with an open mind still.
Clear deep golden color, no head. Sweet, alcohol, citrus, coconut flakes scent, toasted coconut and bread crust. Sweet, alcohol, honey, coconut taste. Alcohol aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, no bitterness. A bit like the drinking version of the chocolate bar Bounty. Way better than I expected it to be by the name, still way too boozy and goes more to candy bar than drinking mead for me.

Bottle purchased at Kuhnhenn. Clear amber with no head and no legs. Aroma of coconut, caramel and honey. Coconunt and honey flavor before a semi-sweet caramel finish. Not bad, but I expected it to be sweeter and more flavorful.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2011 Small bottle shared by Kan. Thanks a ton!! Pours a ridiculous glowing amber pour, darker edged with touches of brown. A huge glow with touches of glow. No real head. Aromas are a ridiculously rich coconut essence, touches of sweet cream, with vanilla, coconut oil, and sweet honey mead. Sweet, huge coconut presence. Initial sweeter edged, huge coconut presence paired with a touch lighter honey, vanilla, wet oak. Touches of vanilla, but honey and coconut come back into play hard. Middle shows a touch of tartness, then strictly is big coconut. Cream, huge coconut fat, and the honey aids it. Kuhnhenns strength is pumping huge flavor into highly flavorful beveraged. Great beverage, highly flavorful. Albeit, Im not a huge coconut fan. This is interesting, but falls a bit south for me. Still, I liked it much more than I thought I would.
