7oz nip bottle. Pours a still, clear, brownish-red. Taste is cherry up front, with a woodsy sourness followed by a tart finish. jtclockwork (16424) - , New Jersey, USA - DEC 25, 2012
Bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Pours cola brown. Nose of cheap cherry juice, honey, beeswax, drugstore chocolate and light acidity. Taste is same. Finishes chocolate/acid. Medium body. Not as good as I expected. deyholla (11479) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a deep cloudy purple with no head whatsoever. Aroma has lots of sweet cherry juice with some sweet honey and a bit of roast. Flavor has spice and cherries with growing roast with and a hint of alcohol. Didnít really work for me. MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - NOV 27, 2011
Pours cola brown. Aromas of honey, chocolate, and sharp cherries. Flavor is honey and roast up front. Nice cherries and chocolate. The Brett comes through very earthy almost like eating moss. A bit strange to be honest. It takes away a little from the base flavors of this mead. Some of the same wierd flavors that i did not like in convolution, but much better than convolution. sarro (134) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - SEP 27, 2011
60 or so bottle release (2 per person limit) at brewery. 187ml bottle with label that reads: "This sweet/tart Braggot is made from raw honey, roasted malts give this mead it;s stout like character, infused with cherries. Fermented with Brettanomyces Yeast"
Pours deep, dark brown. Smell is very interesting and includes dark malt, sweet cherry and different layers of sweet honey. Pours with almost no head, but is marked "sparkling" on the bottle. Flavors of sweet honey, tiny bit of roast, and subdued dark chocolate cherries. Mouth feel is slick, well rounded and lightly carbonated.
Very nice braggot overall, but cost is a bit high at $10 for the small bottle. Should be interesting to see how this develops with the Brett yeast over time.

187ml bottle...a bit of a dirty brown pour, not very good looking, no head as expected... smells great, tons of tart and fresh cherries almost an acidic sour note, a bit of candy, light chocolate, honey finish, so much going on but they compliment each other... its tastes good but after the nose my expectations were sky high and this just disappointed me, its weak overall no clue how this happened with the nose bursting with flavor, the front is a bit dead with caramel, the finish is cherries but really sweet, reminds me of a watered down Belgian red, good enough but boring... its pretty good but not really worth the price tag sadly ogglethorp (917) - Ohio, USA - MAR 29, 2011
Pours dark brown with a small beige colored head. Aroma is sour cherries, chocolate, roast. Flavor is nothing but chocolate covered cherries. Palate is medium bodied, mild carbonation, finished on the sweet side. Not sure if this was a blend of cherry stout and mead or stout and cherry mead, either way it was a nice treat.
