375 mL bottle. The pour is a darker purpley brown with a couple spots of head and no lace. Only legs left behind. The aroma is full of chocolate and port. There is a hint of raspberry to it but the alcohol is heavy. The woodiness is interesting. The flavor is sweet chocolate with light raspberry and a a lovely port woodiness. This is good. The mouth feel is thin and light with a thin flavor left. The aftertaste is light and clean with a woody chocolate. Its really interesting.

Bottle. Brown with no head. Fairly sweet with a mix of bittersweet and milk chocolate but a balance is achieved with a nice tartness from fresh raspberries, booze is present but and pleasant on the nose - mild carbonation and fully body, becomes very sweet on the palate with the fruit fading and the chocolate and booze dominating, long sweet finish.

Sampled at a tasting. Dark brown with some amber. Chocolate, raspberry, and cinnamon aroma. Im not usually a raspberry fan but this is good. The beer doesnt seem fresh, though. Honey flavor. Rich, sweet, and really nice.

Bottle, thanks Tammy! Aroma has strong raspberry with red wine, honey, light alcohol, and light chocolate. Tastes mostly like raspberry and honey with a boozy red wine finish. Chocolate is very subtle. Medium to full body. Very good but a touch too boozy to make it up there with my favorites.

On draft at the release at Kuhnhenn on National Mead Day. Looks good; a still and cloudy black raspberry. Smells and tastes good too; a nice balance of chocolate, raspberry, and honey. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and smooth. A fantastic mead thats decadently delicious!
