Nip bottle received in trade. Deep golden pour leaving some subtle legs on the glass with a swirl. Very prominent clove nose with a pleasant floral citrusy honey base. Light caramel, raisins, ginger & allspice. Hint of lingonberry. Slightly sweet, floral & spicy taste. Soft & boozy mouthfeel. Long spicy finish with light honey & red berries. Cool mead. Has aged with dignity. Reminds me a lot of mjuk pepparkaka. I even detect a hint of lingonberry. JStax (6356) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAY 23, 2016
Bottle pour at the source. The mead is a clear yellow. Still. The aroma was almost all clove. I pick up a bit of ginger and honey, but the clove is really the star here. The group I was with didn’t really enjoy that aspect of it, but it was pretty good for me. thome50 (1294) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - FEB 27, 2016
Bottle via Mike way back in 2012 from their Mead Madness month. Opened at a small share. Worst of the night. Eggnog, clove cigarettes for days. Just no. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Nip sized bottle. Poured a yellow color with no head. Yeah , no. Out of the 48 Kuhnhenn meads we had that night, this one was at the bottom. All cloves - drinking a clove cigarette, but in a bad way. MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - JUL 9, 2012
Pours a nice libel low. Aroma is all about the clove. Flavor is fresh ground clove up front, nice sweet honey and light mint. Spicy, sweet and herbal. Real nice. Love it, but if clove is not your thing avoid!

Bottle thanks to Chris. Pours clear yellow gold. Nose/taste of fresh and intense clove, honey, clove cigarette ash and vanilla. Medium body. Very much as advertised - lots of clove - kind of like a Goth club.
