Draft at Spuyten Duyvil. Light cloudy orange pour. Nose holds light scallion, orange zest, lemon, pink grapefruit, and lemongrass; very bright on the nose. The flavor holds the same beautiful citrus complexity, stunningly drinkable for 10%. Really good. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2012

Hand bottle. Slightly hazy amber beer. Grassy hops on the nose and in the taste. Bitter grassy hops, fresh and undiluted. Tasty hoppy beer but somewhat overloaded with bitterness.
Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a slightly-hazy dark brown color with a light tan head. Good lacing. The nose is really strong with quite a bit of pine as well as some generic citrus and grapefruit rind. The taste is definitely hop-centric with some nice bitterness. Feel presents really nice bitterness and complementing carbonation. Drinks well and is yet another really nice DIPA from Kuhnhenn. It seems like every time I’m back they’ve got a new one, and I certainly enjoy it each time.

Growler from the brewpub thanks to the gf’s weekend trip home...Pours a clearish but almost medium copper with lots of nice tan carbonation. Unqiue pours as its so carbonated it pours a very muddy color, like muddy river water, but quickly the carbonation fades to the clearish color...Super nice aroma that is really malty balanced with a ton of pineapple, really appealing, hoppy finish but not overpowering at all...Taste is really nice starts off really sweet, tons of pineapple again. The finish is lots of grassy hops, slight pine resin creeps in...The feel is really nice, slightly warm, very tannic feel, almost chalky, just very full.
This is a really nice dipa that is pretty sweet, not overwhelming alcohol or hops which is nice and at 10% pretty drinkable.

On tap during the 2010 Winter Solstice. Poured a hazy rusty orange with a near white head that lasted throughout the beer and laced. Aroma was full of citrus and complimented by a nice pine note. There was a bit of biscuit on the nose as well. Flavor began with grain and was joined by citrus notes. The finish was surprisingly pine strong. polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Draft. Aroma has really piny hops with citrus and caramel. Smells like the great up north of MI. Medium orange amber hue with a nice white frothy head that left great lace. A good one. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - AUG 21, 2010
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate tropical fruits, mango, oranges, and citrus hops. It pours a mostly transparent orange with a moderate creamy off-white with good retention and spotty lacing. The flavor starts with lots of tropical fruits, and mango. There’s some notes of orange and orange peel in the background. The finish is loaded with lots of citrus hops. Medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Nickls (2535) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUN 29, 2010
(Old BA rate - tap)
Darker coppery brown hue with a half-finger of off-white head; ok lacing and retention. Piney hop aromas; some sweetness from the malt; a bit candied in the aroma, but still aggressive. Grapefruit-like hop flavors burst through and they’re resiney as well; touch sweet from the strong malt backing. Oily and a little creamy; soft carbonation; coating and drying at the same time. Very drinkable for the weight and aggressive hoppiness

Tap at BT. Pours a deep orange amber with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is big tropical mango fruity hoppiness, grapefruit, oily resinous citrus and light pine with a good pale and caramel malt backbone. Flavor is also oily fruity, hoppy, mango, pineapple, grass, mint and pine- toasty and bready malts, with a good caramel sweetnes and fairly dry. Wow- good stuff.
