[4116-20111113] Tap. Sweet nutty roast malt aroma. Red-tinged black body with a quick foamy light tan head. Roasted nuttiness continues in the flavour. Medium-full body. Odd soured nut notes, nice to sample though. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2-

On tap at Kuhnhenn. Pours near black with small light tan head. Aromas of chocolate, dry roasted malts, and some dark fruits. Flavor is sweet with chocolate, light booze, roasted malts, and a little bitterness. I wonder if this the right beer but it is tasty. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 20, 2011
2011-11-13. Ruby tinged black body with a small tan head. 3+ Dry roasty flavour grows more roast with consecutive sips, modest roasty bitterness. Dry roasty aroma. Average to thin bodied palate is insufficient for my preferences. Decent stout, but its a bit thin, and one dimensional for my own tastes. On tap at Kuhnhenn, Warren

Pours a deep rich mostly black color; dense lightly tan head; really nice looking brew. Light roastiness; touch of bittersweet chocolate; basic but good aroma. Slight roasted malt flavors; hint of vanilla sneeks in; creamy chocolate that is not as bitter as suggested in the aroma; touch of sweet but not very much. Medium MF; a little creamy; and very soft carbonation. Great, tasty, and quaffable. Fairly substantial Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 22, 2010
Tap at BT> Pours a deep charcoal almost black with a fizzy head. Aroma is toast, burnt biscuit, roast, sea spray and sea foam with salty mineral like notes- some nutty earthy very dry chocolate. Flavor is light roast, chocolate, mineral earth, dust, dirt, slight metalic, light brine kick and a dry finish. GOod.

Cask-conditioned at Kuhnhenn’s 10th anniversary party. Black with big foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and big dark chocolate. Taste of chocolate, coffee, and burnt, roasted malt. Very smooth mouthfeel. A very nice, drinkable stout! puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 17, 2009
Tap at the Blind Tiger. Dry, clean, donut, carbonic acid aroma. Light, herbal, minerally flavor. Mild bandaid. Fairly uninspired but an enjoyable beer none-the-less. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2009
Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep black beer with a thin tan head. Great nose with lots of bitter roasted barley. There is a little bit of light coffee as well. Nice crisp dry roasty finish, although the beer does have a little bit of heft through the middle. Soft charry finish. Quite tasty really. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - SEP 9, 2009
Draft. Black body with a an off white head. This is incredibly session able i had 3 of em. Just a very nice hint of irish whiskey atop fresh coffee. A thin sweet malt body is just what i needed for this slick treat. Great! blipp (9275) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 8, 2009
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Roasted malt aroma with some lighter notes of fresh ground coffee. The flavor brings roasted malts, a hint of sweeter malts, coffee, and a solid amount of roasted bitterness in the finish. Tasty.
