I believe this is a very special brew that is to be savored whenever it is released. It is priced steep but for the overall value and quality, it is well worth every penny. walleye (1102) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - FEB 20, 2005
at my favorite brewery with flemdawg, wohlfs, hoppybunny, and eyedrinkale. from the tap, poured a muddy brown with a small tan head. aroma citrus, hops, fruity. flavor, grapes, honey, hops, citrus, hints of apple, a slight bitterness. can not wait for the next step of this beer on its way to the raspberry eisbock. Tap at blind tiger. Poured ruby red sweet fruit nose syrupy a bit medicinal is it the best beer in the world? Maybe but maybe a bit too much like cough syrup. Nice malts sweet finish. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - FEB 20, 2005
On tap: Has a fruit punch and apple aroma. Dark brown with a small tan head that’s more of a ring around the edge of the glass than an actual head. Has a light fruit punch flavor lingering in the background with some raisin and a light tart and slight alcohol finish. flemdawg (563) - Rowlett, Texas, USA - FEB 23, 2005
Deep brown, muddy almost, no head but some off white bubbles. Sweet fruits(cherries, and other berries) also some grapes in the aroma. More fruits(grapes and cherries) in the flavor, some sweet sugary tastes and a hint of hops. Clingy feel, almost syrupy. Hard time getting into this one.

Big thanks to Wohlfs for the hand bottle. Poured a ruby color with a brown tint and minimal head. Aroma was fruity, of plums and grapes. Flavors again were fruity with some caramel as well. Finish had a spicey/bitter taste seemingly from the alcohol. Otherwise the alcohol was very well hidden for 13%. Light syrupy mouthfeel and medium to full bodied. 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - FEB 27, 2005
Tap. Hazy brown color. Slight brownish head fades out to nothingness. Rich fullbodied grain and alcohol aromas. Not as syrupy as I would expect for an eisbock. A touch winey in flavor with a bitterness that is felt throughout. Decent. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAY 23, 2008
’07 Eisenbock-187ml bottle @Vero Beach Throwdown-pours no head and ruby red with brown color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, faint dark fruit-raspberry. Taste is medium malt-caramel, raspberry, dark fruit. Some alcohol. A BIG Thanks to Hopscotch for sharing. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - FEB 26, 2005
Dark ruby brown with a dissapating light tan head. The aroma is sweet, grapes, plum sauce (the kind you put on mu-shu pancakes). The flavor is caramel, grape, licorice, and a surprising bitter punch. The alcohol is there but it is not over the top. It starts nice but the finish is astringent. What this beer needs is raspberries! Thanks a bunch to wohlfs for the hand bottled bottle! tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 25, 2009
Pours a hazy tan with dark head.
Nose is sugarry with a candy raspberry smell.
Taste is sweet, very smooth raspberry flavor, not too big or sweet, nice and fruity, lots of chocolate malt, tastes like a light raspberry cordial. Great desert beer, terrible session beer.
