Nice chocolate-y nose. Taste is moderately sweet, a bit green and strange, with a sort of watery peanut butter, light chocolate and some cola. Interesting to try, but bleh.

Draft sample @ MBGSF10. Pours a clear dark brown with a medium sized beige head. Nose is sweet milk chocolate with softer notes of peanut butter. The flavor has more balance between the rich milk chocolate and creamy peanut butter. I didn’t think it was overly sweet, but did think it was a touch thin. An interesting beer nonetheless and well worth the try.

Sampled at MBGSF’10 - candy chocolate, sweet chocolate milk. Body is pretty thin, some astringency. Its ok. Tasty, but too sweet.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2010 Draft… RBSG/MBGSF 2010This beer rocks!… Murky dark brown ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma is of vanilla and chocolate with only a hint of peanut butter - a hint is all it needs. Very rich. Very nice. Full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor is sweet milk-chocolate layered upon more subtle essences of vanilla and peanut butter. Finishes with a sweet Reese’s Pieces aftertaste. At no point does this beer’s sweetness become annoying or cloying. Fun, world class brew!

Sampled at MBGSF. Pours brown with a beige head. Nose of fake peanut butter and roasted chocolate, pretty close to reeses pieces. Thin watery reeses chocolate flavors. Not good. 7/3/6/3/12

GTMW 2010. Pours to a deep brown body with a thin brown head. The aroma and flavor are strong peanut butter and chocolate. Pretty much a liquid beer version of Reese’s Peanut Butter Pieces! Excellent translation to a beer.

Pouring at the Michigan Brewers Festival during RBSG. Pours a deep black with a medium sized beige head. Smooth milk chocolate and peanut butter, sweet chocolate aromas, yoohoo. Smells like Reese’s Pieces just as billed. Medium bodied, milky chocolate and light toast. Soft chocolate. Smells awesome, and the beer itself is good, but I wasn’t blown away (except by the aroma).

4.1
Tmoney99 (14863) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 6, 2010
Sample at MBGSF10. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Good complex chocolate malt and peanuts aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex chocolate flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Complex standout brew.
