Tap at MBGSF. Sweetish, lovely peanut butter aroma. Wow! It’s hard to put this in words, except that, well: it’s Reese’s Pieces. These guys sure know how to get food-stuffs into beer and mead. KyotoLefty (10254) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 31, 2010
On tap at MBGSF 2010. Wild peanut butter and chocolate aroma. Flavor of chocolate and peanut butter with fruit and a slight tangy edge. Nice, but a little weird. Novelty beer for sure, but it’s good and basically works. deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 27, 2010
Sampled at the MiBGSF ’10. Poured dark brown with a yellowish brown head that dissipated slowly. Aroma was very sweet with candied sugar, chocolate and caramel with a hint of underlying peanut butter. Flavor had much more peanut butter in the start with sweet chocolate leading to a taste that reminded me very much of Resse’s Pieces! ketchepillar (1198) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JUL 25, 2010
On tap at MBGSF 2010. Small sample. Hot damn man, they nailed Reese’s Pieces. Aroma is pure reese’s, flavor doesn’t have quite as much and is a bit muddled. Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 25, 2010
Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a reddish brown color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Nutty aroma with chocolate and a candy-like sweetness. Pretty much spot on. The taste is chocolate, nuts and cherries. Medium bodied.
