[6151-20140129] Bottle. Fragrant floral yeast hops aroma. Clear, amber brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter sweet orange peel and floral yeast hops flavour. Medium body is fairly bitter. Delicious, nice bitter base. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

Bottle. The pour is a brighter orange. The aroma is hops, with some belgian to it, almost a mild soapy aroma to it. The taste is decent, kinda big hops, but not overly bitter. A nice taste to it, fairly complex.

On draft from Whole Foods. Nice, brassy pour on this full flavored IPA. The strong aroma is floral, tangy, and piney - very good! The flavor is a little challenging, however. The strong hops grab center stage, with grapefruit, resin, and pine notes. Then dryness comes in with an undercurrent of burnt black rice and lime. It hits the palate with a pretty serious charge. It is a fine IPA but, antioxidants or not, I probably wouldn’t go looking for it. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 15, 2014
draft that poured orange with white head. the initial nose is a big citrus punch with an underlying malt base. very pleasant to the hop head. the flavor is more a medium malt based with lots of citrus, grapefruit some orange and mango and peach possibly. evenly balanced and a nice bitterness all the way through. solid beer. kevinator (2205) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JUN 11, 2014
Really enjoyable and the alcohol was very well-hidden. It had a biting citrus and pine hop aroma with a detection of spice. Metallic copper color with a good white head. The palate was subtle and full with average carbonation that complimented the hops. Bitterness was strong but even and balanced with the caramel malt flavors. Some rye character even though I’m not sure if it was in the recipe. Very easy to drink.

12 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a murky dark orange amber with a small off-white head. Nose is very earthy and yeasty, with dirty hops, earth and a yeast soup. Flavour is very similar, with resinous hops, loads of filthy earthiness, yeast, and some booziness. Pretty rough around the edges - very filthy beer. Not bad, but not my kind of beer. wchesser (2073) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 1, 2014
From flandersned-thanks, Steve! Pretty deep orange with some pink/magenta to it. Big citrus and light piney hop nose. Medium body, hop driven but balanced. Not sure the rice brings much here beyond the color, maybe a bit of light earthiness. Regardless a solid DIPA. jredmond (8284) - New York, New York, USA - APR 2, 2014
Draft at Ginger Man with Brendan, Andrew and Ricky. Pours a deep amber orange body with thin white lacing. Aroma is bright oranges, other citrus fruit and sweet sugary malt syrup. Mouthfeel is slick and medium on the palate with notes of sugary malt, pine resin and oranges. Too boozy, dial this back a bit and we have another fluffer on our hands. rumproasts (5356) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 3, 2014
Tap at Michigan Winter Beer Festival - 22-Feb-2014. Pale golden with small head. Ginormous citrus hops. Outstanding DIPA. I might even prefer this to the DRIPA. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2014
Draft sample at MiWBF 14. Copper with a beige head. Strong citrus and spicy hops. Nice and citrusy and super clean just like DRIPA.
