i believe this bottle was from dakine on 3/21/10...
hazy golden tinted orange with a small off white head.
it smells of orange, banana-y yeast esters, grass and pale malt.
the flavor is the same... quite sweet with spiciness coming in on the finish.
the medium to full body is a little sticky but alcohol dryness helps it out a bit. 6/3/6/3/14/3.2 RyanMM (416) - Ferndale, Michigan, USA - JUN 16, 2010
Pours a slightly hazy, red-tinged amber with a full, billowy white head. Maintains a small head for a while before settling down to a nice amount of fine-bubbled, thick lacing. Nose is subdued with a half-finger of foam at the top, hinting at bananas, clove, yeast and other spices. Very nice combination of smells. Very lively carbonation, not a lot of sweetness, a good amount of light malt and wheat character with a slight bitter note on the finish. A crisp, sharp finish with a good amount of fruit flavor and spice. Warming on the finish, more so than I’d expect from a Kuhnhenn beer under 12% abv. All in all not bad, but not the kind of quality I expect from these guys. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 30, 2010
Bomber shared by cbkschubert at Hellbilly’s Shootout in Sosco Tasting. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. The nose is banana, spicy yeast and fruit. The taste is spicy yeast, banana bread, lemon zest. Medium bodied. Good beer. Thanks Craig!

Bottle. Aroma: Bubblegum, cloves, fruit. Pours cloudy amber-copper with small light beige head which dissipates quickly. Plenty of oily lacing. Taste follows aroma: Cloves, candy, raisins, plum/apricots (?) as well, maybe peaches. Soft, pleasant mouthfeel with medium-heavy body. Considerable alcohol in the nose and throat afterward, with what I thought was a slightly metallic aftertaste (this was noticeable only at the end of the glass). Not terrible, but could have been better. fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 26, 2010
Bottle 12fl.oz.jtw (1170) - farmington, Michigan, USA - APR 18, 2010
Unclear medium yellow amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, sugar, light caramel, light to moderate yeasty, overripped fruit, fruit tart notes, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, overripped fruit, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
12 oz bottle - pours out a clear copper with mostly white light foam atop. sweet belgian aroma, with banana and malty sugars and a little bit of clove spice. Full bodied and sweet and spicy, but not overly complex. Most of the intrigue comes from characteristically belgian yeast, and the typical belgian strong sweetness isn’t all that inspired. Some alcohol heat and a full finish, this is a decent belgian strong. yespr (48895) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 11, 2010
