12oz bottle acquired in trade with dmschefke (thanks!). Poured a medium to deeper and slightly hazy golden color with a small size white head. Aromas of yeastiness, some fruitiness, and spices. Tastes of yeast, spices, fruitiness, and a little breadiness.Lively and fizzy body. Alcohol content overall well hidden. I probably would have guessed this one was a tripel. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 17, 2009
Tap at the Blind Tiger. A bit too sweet, this one. Big, dirty, yeasty aroma, bursting with fruity esters; almost nauseating. Flavor of sweet banana bread, dirt, earth. Belgian style, but in that too sweet American way. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2009
Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep golden beer with a little bit of suspended yeastiness. The nose is fairly spicy with a little bit of cherry sweetness. There is also an undernote of lemony citrus and a lot of clove/cinnamon spiciness. A little bit of banana retronasally, especially as it starts to warm up. It’s spicy and a little bit boozy but it still manages to retain a decent balance. It has some Belgian character but there is also a bit of the typical US approach to Belgians in that it’s a bit too sweet. It isn’t bad, but it could be better. flatmatt (1576) - Northville, Michigan, USA - SEP 11, 2009
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazed amber with a small white head. Aroma has sweet caramel, cloves, green apple, and bubblegum. Flavor is a nice mix of cloves, caramel, bubblegum, and apple. A touch of salt, too, and a little alcohol tingle. Pretty darn enjoyable. hopscotch (11078) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 11, 2009
Bottle… Cloudy, apricot-colored ale with a minuscule, fizzy, white head. The nose is very spicy, moderately fruity and just a touch smoky – lots of coriander and clove accompanying notes of peach, apricot and mandarin orange. Full-bodied and fatty with prickly carbonation. The flavor is a marriage of tropical and fuzzy fruits - sweet, fruity, lightly tangy, mildly bitter and a rumor of a smoky phenol. Finishes crisp and fairly clean for a high abv brew. Kudos to dmschefke for the bottle!

Tap at the Blind Tiger: Cloudy orange pour with a white film of head. Sweet Belgian aroma- honey, candy sugar, herbal European hop notes and nondescript spice notes. Fluffy mouth feel with a sweet flavor. A bit astringent with lots of spice and phenolics. Some sweet Belgian pale malts, candy sugar sweetness and a slightly plasticy phenol presence. A bit fizzy and astringent, eh. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - SEP 8, 2009
Draft. Pours an orange amber with a white head. Spicy cinnamon and candied sugar. Pear with some cane sugar and a moderate warming. Nice. j12601 (11706) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - SEP 5, 2009

The aroma is coriander. orange peel, spice. The appearance is a hazy orange, white head. The flavor follows the aroma, the finish is spices, mild hops. The mouthfeel is thin/medium. Not bad. madvike (3260) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 21, 2009
Sampled @ GTMW ’09 - One of the few breweries I sampled twice. Pours amber with a little white head. Smells spicy and yeasty, and tastes about the same. Pretty standard wheat, spice, and mild fruitiness, but very smooth and medium-bodied. Pleasant, but nothing out of the ordinary.
