Pours a hazy golden color. Aroma is honey sweetness and lemon. Taste is sweet. Palate felt waxy. Not a huge fan. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 10, 2012

Little bottle pours gold with just a couple of tiny bubbles murmuring up. The aroma offers up honey and then various shrubby bushes, floral notes and some sugariness. At the end of the draw I get a little earthy black tea too. Cool. The taste moves from sugary sweetness to honey and then grows into spicy hop bitterness and then some earthy black tea too. Into the finish notes of floral hops to spicy black licorice come to the surface and linger with the sugary sweetness and honey into the after taste. Interesting stuff.
18cl bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3, thanks Dave for hauling this across the ocean.

Sample at the impromptu Kuhnhenn tasting on 01/17/2012: The Mead is a clear pale golden color with no head and sticky legs. Aroma of fruity hops and hay. Full-bodied and sweet with flavors of herbal and grassy hops and sweet fruit. The finish is sweet with a honey and fruit aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle shared by Dogbrick. Clear amber pour with no head and sticky legs. Aroma of piney hops and honey. Sweet honey flavor with grassy hops throughout. I’m not a huge fan of hopped meads, but this one was tolerable and actually enjoyable. beerbill (3616) - Laurel, New York, USA - JAN 1, 2012
A big thank you to mikem409 for the bottle. Pours a hazy antique gold with no head. This is a still mead. Very pleasant aroma of sweet honey with some floral notes and fresh orange. The flavor is equally enjoyable with sweet honey and herbal hops and just a hint of orange. Well rounded on the palate and not at all cloying. Very enjoyable. Pours a rich deep orange. Aromas of a fresh cracked hive, gooey honey and wax. Lightly floral and green. The flavor is wonderful rich and sweet. The hops are there and they come off lightly herbal and green. The honey has a more earthy quality than the previous meads of this series that I have had. Tasty stuff. j12601 (10868) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Bottle at James’ mead tasting. Pours a clear gold. Sticky hops, a little more subtle than the Cascade and Amarillo. Sticky hops, a touch cheesy, sweet and full of honey. Light bitterness on the finish. jtclockwork (16424) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 15, 2011
Bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Pours clear amber gold. Nose/taste of hops, honey and herbal tea. Sweet soft finish. Medium body. Mild hop presence.
