UPDATED: MAR 4, 2012 rerate had this today Jessica out did her self on this batch, the only thing I can add is that I got dark cherries to flavor. from the tap at the brewery. 1st let me say thank you Jessica for brewing this beer it rocked, I would like to get some bottles of this. This was as good or a little better than your other beer. that said poured black with mahogany edge with a dark tan head. aroma alcohol which is 12.5 on the menu. a lot of roasted malts and chocolate with some strong coffee. flavor the alcohol really comes out strong and it was difficult to get some of the other flavors out but as it warmed up the roasted malts and coffee came out the chocolate did come out when I left the beer in my mouth for a few seconds. over I think this was a awesome beer and as far as I know this is Jessica 2nd brew polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - DEC 25, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2008 On tap. Aroma is big with roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and smoke. Pitch black with a small mostly disappearing brown head that left little lace. Flavor is big and roasty with even more coffee and smoke. Palate is a work of art. No hint of that 12.5% ABV until it hits your stomach, extremely well hidden. On tap at the brewpub: Black with a brownish/baige head that sticks around for about 10 minutes after the pour. Aroma is very roasty and slightly smokey, with some subtle chocolate scents. Bottle: Big chocolate, roasted coffee, and faint burnt notes in the aroma. It’s a dark brown, virtually black, with a moderate tan head. The flavor starts with lots of chocolate and faint vanilla. There’s a moderate roasted malt backbone. The finish has moderate roasted coffee that really lingers in the aftertaste. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Growler via trade. A very interesting and complex imp stout. Up front coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and etoh with subtle sweetness, caramel, charcoal, and smoke in the finish. Please put this brew in a bourbon barrel. Very well done.

12oz bottle thanks to Sliffy. Pours very dark brown with tan ring. Aroma is powerful with roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and molassas. Flavor is loaded with coffee, chocolate, roasted malt with some vanilla and dark fruits. Finishes with a tartness of sour cherries. Smooth on palate with very good mouthfeel. This is a very good imperial stout and one the more complex brews I have had in a while. This is what I hope Bells BB Cherry Stout was going to be. First imp stout that i have wanted to rate in a while. Nose is subtle fruits. Taste is tart, raspberry/cherry. The tapioca, smooths out the finish. Unbelievable that this is 12.5%. 12oz bottle. Pours opaque black, with a thick, frothy brown head. Roasted chocolate malt, soy sauce, and coffee intermingle for an intense aroma. Rich bittersweet chocolate flavor up front, complimented by molasses and dark fruit. Finish is fairly bitter. 12oz bottle, Sample #1 in our blind imperial stout tasting, brought back for me from MI by artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Pours an oily, murky brown color; dark tan head with excellent fine-bubbled retention, coating the glass. Nougat, milk chocolate, marshmallow, and a light mineral bitterness in the aroma. Lots of bitter chocolate and sharp citrus at the front; plenty of nougat and caramel at the core. Poured black with a medium sized brown head. Roasted coffee aroma with some smooth milk chocolate notes. Nice roasted malt flavor and even a little dark fruit. Creamy full body. This stuff was very good and drinkable. I was close to giving it another point actually.
