Thanks to tectactoe for letting me try some of this at the Michigan Fall Beer Fest. Really really good stuff. Only had a little bit but that’s all I needed to see that it was great. Smells like cinnamon Teddy Graham’s. Great sour taste with a good amount of pumpkin. I really want more.
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2014 Tap: Big thanks to Mike for hand-bottling me a pour. Hazy, muddled orange & amber with a soapy, big-bubbled film. Aroma is outstanding... smells exactly like authentic pumpkin pie. Light cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, graham cracker, sweet honey, & just a light, finishing zesty tartness to bring a strange, yet lovely twist to it. Flavor is great as well, pumpkin spice, graham cracker crust, mild caramel, & a back end full of honey, A very slight lemon-flesh & faintly acidic tart note strikes mid-palate & lasts into a dry aftertaste. This beer had the potential to be awful, but the execution was fantastic. One of the best beers of the Michigan fall beer fest, and my favorite pumpkin beer to date.
