Thanks Brian for sharing this one. This bottle needs like some sort of nipple apparatus. it’s teeny tiny like a pacifier. Drink your medicine. JulienHuxley (5964) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - APR 19, 2015
A - Reddish brown and completely still (duh).
S - Smells insanely good. a lot of wine tannins, oak, raspberries, cherry, clove.
T - Sweet, juicy, tastes really old like a decade. faded fruits, musty mold, oak barrel and liqueur .
M - Very thin mouthfeel, cloyingly sweet. lingering tobacco finish
O - Interesting but there are other meads I’d rank much higher. Sorry guys.
18 cl bottle shared. Clear copper red pour. Aroma is winey, grape juice, honey, homemade wine aroma. Taste is sweet, raisins, tons of raisins, sweet, light booziness. Palate is med bodied, nice texture although it’s a bit boozy. Decent mead. tom10101 (6279) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 18, 2015

Appearance: Almost clear reddish ruby with little legs.
Aroma: Lots of raisins, red wine, honey, oak and berries.
Taste: Medium sweetness. A bit boozy. Tons of raisins, honey and berries.
Palate: Medium body. Quite winey mouthfeel. Raisins finish with a nice alcohol warmth.
Overall: A nice experimental mix between mead and red wine. Tasty, not super cohesive, but really interesting.
Bottle from the 2009 winter solstice release from notes. Pours a reddish copper color with no head. The aroma and flavor have red wine, honey, caramel, wood, interesting combination and worth trying if you get the chance. hotstuff (5272) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Rated on 7-27-2013. This bottled Mead pours a small head, has a transparent body and a reddish hue. The Aromas are sweet, honey, berries, and alcohol. This Mead’s taste is sweet, honey up front, dry, cherries, and the ABV comes through as well. The Palate is tingly and this is a medium bodied Mead. Overall, this Mead is very quaffable, definitely worthy of a try and I not only would partake in another glass of this Mead, but highly recommend it if one likes Meads. Nice Mead, Kuhnhenn!!

This pours a violet hued maroon mead and is still. Very nice sweet berry nose. This is a nice dry mead with lots of berry flavors over a honey sweetness and some oak and chalk. Great berry mead. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 27, 2013
This bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of no head bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a uncarbonated transparent brown colored body and a oily lacing. The nice aroma was malty and sweet. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a burning sweet aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of sweet and honey. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 28, 2013
Red pour, no head. Flavors of red wine, grapes and honey. A real treat that I enjoyed more than some of the other Kuhn meads I have tried. I like the use of the wine. Bacterial (3060) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Pour from a tiny bottle that kind of makes me feel like a giant. Ruby port red in color. Nose is mostly wine, red grapes with a hint of honey. Beautiful balance of red wine and honey sweetness. Would like to have this with some nice cheese and would like to have this in a 750 ml bomber! jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle shared at Exira Beer Summit 2012. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a dark red color with minimal head. Dark cherry, juice, sweet aromas. Dark grape, sugar, cherry flavors. Very fun to try.
