On-tap at the pub, poured into a 6oz tasting glass...A dark but clear gold, good coloring. The head is bright white and keeps about a half finger cap for several minutes. At first the lacing is very full, but falls too quickly. Good start...The aroma is totally dead, very disappointing, only a slight hint of hops...The taste is exceedingly sweet, corn, floral bitter hops help to break the sweetness. Reminds me more of a pilsner with a little black pepper finish. A touch to sweet but this makes this totally crushable at a shocking 7%.
If I had to drink a lager I’d probably go for this, but at Kuhnhenn tough to keep going back to this with so many other options. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 11, 2011
Poured up on tap at the Kuhnhenn brewpub with clear light copper body and white head. The aroma puts out floral hop like cotton candy sweetness, mild spiciness and some lager-y yeast. The taste is sweet and gets caramel-y before lager yeast and thick sugary maltiness take over. I’m not picking up much in the way of hoppiness which seems a bit odd since floral hops were noted in the nose. Nice brew nonetheless. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JAN 30, 2010
On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a clear golden with off-white head. Aromas of grains, cereal, some sweetness and really hops. Flavors of cereal, grains, light hops, and a sweet flavor I cannot quite determine. Easy drinker for abv. Not bad. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 27, 2010
Tap at Spuyten Duyvil. Pours a very clear medium golden with a nice fluffy white head some lace. Aroma is nice malty bready pils, toast, deep dark toasted crackers and french bread, good German flowery hops as well - seems mostly clean. Flavor is clean as well- toast, biscuit, doughy pils malt, light carapils sweetness, herbal and grassy with some flowery hops- finish is fairly clean and crisp. Pretty nice overall. (went back to see the description- Beet Sugar? Damn never would have guessed). deyholla (11505) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 8, 2010
On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a clear golden yellow with a medium off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet grains, leading to a bit of a cereal aroma. Flavor was sweet as well with a grainy cereal sweetness as well.

Light yellowish color. Sweet malt with a hop essence. Citrusy and a little ricey with some spice. A bit earthy, just ok. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 27, 2009
This pured a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was really grassy, and alcohol. Flavor was grassy, sweet malts, and surprising alcohol taste which seems out of place for barely being over 7%. Not too good at all punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - JAN 7, 2009
Gold pour with a frothy white head that fades to a layer of lace. Faintly sweet, bready malt aroma. Somewhat yeasty too. Sweet malt, cereal, and apricot flavor. Medium-thin body. hopdog (12445) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2009
On tap at the Kuhnhenn Brew Pub. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of breadiness, grain, caramel, and all around malty. Tastes of grainy/wheat, some bread, and the same maltiness. Light alcohol in the finish. bgburdman9 (861) - columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2008
Had at the winter solstice last year. a decent mild lager with a small amount of hoppiness to it. A little cardboard taste again. Not really that exciting.
