Draft at 2007 Michigan BGWF. Poured hazy amber color with a large frothy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Good complex hoppy spicy aroma. Medium body with slick texture. Medium sweet balanced flavor with a moderate smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good interesting winter brew. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a slightly hazed golden color with a medium ivory white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of fruit, hops and bready malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with some malt in the background. Pretty average overall. crossovert (12898) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 23, 2012
The only reason that this beer is rated so poorly is probably becqause it was at winter solstice and there are a bunch of idiots with no palates that attend. A very ncie lager adn a suprisingly nice one. Light but alcoholic but not boozy. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2009
On tap at the Kuhnhenn Brew Pub. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of breadiness, grain, caramel, and all around malty. Tastes of grainy/wheat, some bread, and the same maltiness. Light alcohol in the finish. Sammy (12197) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 31, 2007
Sweet and smooth enjoyed at the brewpub. Malty with good head, grassy hops. A style bender.

On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a clear golden yellow with a medium off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet grains, leading to a bit of a cereal aroma. Flavor was sweet as well with a grainy cereal sweetness as well. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 30, 2012
Tap at The Ginger Man in NYC. Pours a clear old with sticky white lacing. Nose is fairly big margarine/diacetyl. Taste is a bit metallic and trashy up front with malt liquor sweetness and macro graininess finishing papery and corn syrup cloying. Hints of fruitiness at the front morphs to wild paper and dry stale cracker. 3fourths (9345) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 1, 2008
Yellow and clear. Thick, viscous and heavy corn and essense du malt liquor. Bold and sharp all around with a heavy corn presence, sweet, strange. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 10, 2011
Draft. Pours golden amber with a thin head. Malty and grainy aroma with a strange sweetness. The flavor has sweet malts and grainy, and something alse that I didn’t really like but couldn’t put my finger on. Really not that bad, but nowhere close to as good as other Kuhnhenn offerings. Poured up on tap at the Kuhnhenn brewpub with clear light copper body and white head. The aroma puts out floral hop like cotton candy sweetness, mild spiciness and some lager-y yeast. The taste is sweet and gets caramel-y before lager yeast and thick sugary maltiness take over. I’m not picking up much in the way of hoppiness which seems a bit odd since floral hops were noted in the nose. Nice brew nonetheless.
