Draft… RBSG 2010… Clear copper ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. There’s a lot of caramel malt and a boatload of medium-roast grain in the bouquet. Medium to full-bodied and oily with jazzy carbonation. Toasty, caramely, Marzen flavors that give a slight nod toward the sweet side of balance. Toasted praline finish. puzzl (3260) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 17, 2009
Tap at the Blind Tiger. Light hop nose, with tangerine, and a kind of funky sunflower. Mild flavor, with some dark chocolate funk that I consider a characteristic flavor of Kuhnhenn. Light bitterness, chewy caramel. Yum. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - SEP 9, 2009
Draft. Pours a deep amber body with a an off white head. Malty with a hint of dried fruit, bread y grain note with some caramel and chewy malt base. Decent. PilsnerPeter (3049) - Flushing, New York, USA - SEP 8, 2009
Tap at Blind Tiger: Deep crimson amber/ cannot see through the beer. The head is tan and fades to a film. Fruity and malty aroma- very fresh with biscuity heavy amber malts. Has a mild chocolate note and a touch of raisin. The body is dense and creamy with chewy malt flavors. Very malty and fruity flavor with deep amber malts giving off some chocolate and raisin. Has a mild rounded sweetness that leads to a toasted and mildly peppery hop finish. A nice rich malty amber ale.

On tap at the Blind Tiger at their Kuhnhenn event. Pours a crimson laced reddish brown with a thin white head. Lots of malt, little smoke, caramel, leather. Malty, little bits of fruits, cherry, leather. Finishes with some bitter cocoa and roast. Really interesting for an amber. JoeMcPhee (9459) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 4, 2009
Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep amber pour. The nose is nice. Lots of toasted maltiness. A bit of chewy malt along with a fresh and fairly sweet chewy maltiness. It has an unusual sort of light roastiness that gives the beer a fairly unique toasty flavour. Pretty tasty. Tmoney99 (14772) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 14, 2009
Draft sample at MBGF Summer 2009.
Poured dark hazy brown color with an average rocky brown head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met.
