Bottle received in trade. Clear pale green pour leaving some subtle legs on the glass with a swirl. Prominent after eight mint chocolate nose. Clear golden pour leaving some subtle legs on the Light arrak, marzipan & floral honey. Sweet, floral & herbal taste. Oily round mouthfeel. Actually so much better than expected. No oxidation to talk about. After eight mead goodness. AdmiralVernon (1187) - SWEDEN - APR 1, 2017
A: Yellow/green coloured N: Mint, vanilla, chocolate T: Mint, chocolate, broccoli(?) O: Nose is amazing, but some strange sidetaste to it. Fun. markextrae (4410) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - APR 1, 2017
Bottle 2012 nip bottle, thanks to Alex. Poured in fact slightly green. Nose of big big chocolate mint cookies, after eight, vanilla, cacao. Thick sweet mouthfeel, mint, almost a slight cognac ish touch. Lovely SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - NOV 11, 2015
Pour at the brewery. A bright blue green color with bubbles settling. Very nice look. A deep and very true chocolatey mint aroma. Perfect. Slightly weighing to the chocolate end. A very soft feel sip with a fresh mint upfront that blends into the milk chocolate. The mint reallyyyy lingers on after the taste. Really good. A dry finish with a chocolate layer feel in the end. Shared with JLindros. Poured into a Kate the Great a neon aquamarine. Smells like mint, cocoa nibs, little vanilla. Really aromatic. Taste is almost artificially minty, cocoa nibs, more white chocolate than regular chocolate. rather mouth wash like, practically unbearably so. Mouthfeel is a bit thin.
This was a struggle.

Bottle: 2012 release, 187ml nip. Plasma green color, not a goddamn bubble in sight. Smells like mint chocolate chip cookie dough with a finish of York peppermint patty. Seriously delicious. Not overly minty or spicy as many other reviewers state. Tastes like a McDonalds Shamrock Shake, only with a mild, underlying cocoa dust aspect. Again, think York, but sweeter with some honey in the periphery. Minty sweet, dessert cookie finish. Not sure why the reviews are generally so shitty, this mead was crazy delicious. One of the best I’ve had from Kuhnhenn, actually. JaBier (7806) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JAN 15, 2014
Bottle shared by a friend. Green pour with no head and minimal legs. Aroma of mint, vanilla and slight chocolate. Minty flavor with a hint of chocolate and vanilla before a thin, dry finish. Not bad, but I was hoping it would be more robust in flavor and sweeter. A little more chocolate would have been nice too. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - JAN 2, 2014
2013 bottle shared with family on Christmas day. Pours blue-green color, still. Looks exactly like mouthwash. Kinda smells like mouthwash too. Very minty aroma with just a hint of chocolate. Taste is the same. So much mint that it even seems to cover up the honey taste. I could barely drink it. A couple family members surprisingly liked it though. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Scope blue/green pour. And it smells and tastes like scope. I couldn’t finish my glass. Weird and overly minty. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Bottle from Rayl101! Pours like scope and has an aroma similar to it. Taste is minty with little chocolate. An unusual fail from the team at Kuhnhenn.
