Bottle from the brewery, 6oz. Golden yellow. Prominent nose of apricot, and honey. Quite sweet, minimal chardonnay. Taste has more muddled peach/apricot/light fleshed fruit character, sweet honey upfront but finishes quickly and dry (almost parchingly). Chardonnay in the finish. Medium thick body, no alcohol.

Draft pour at the source. The mead is a clear, subtle yellow with a touch of a white head. A little bit of carbonation. The aroma has plenty of peach and apricot character. Fairly sweet, but I get some acidity from it as well. Lighter bodied mead. Easy drinking and refreshing.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2014 Another super pale mead. 375mL green bottle. Love the peach balanced by an herbal green character, strong herbal. Cool peach. Flavor is also lean, not sweet but peach fruit essence. Light palate and works great for the mead. Fruity yet clean and lean. Very nice mix.

TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Bottle at Tony/Jim BA Birthday Extravaganza 2013 (Western Springs, IL). Pours a decent hazed straw yellow hue. A frothy mellow whitish head atop stays as a decent ring, laces ok. Aromas are gentle honey, peach, white wine. Some oak, gentle sticky sweetness. Initial is a bit fizzy, touch of maple, white wine, oak and vanilla. Touches of grape, melon, mellow honey. Middle is faint toasty and vanilla growth, some honey, red apple, and sweetness. Backend is a touch fizzy, some gentle sweetness, white grape, just a faint bit tannic but firmer honey and fruit. Finish is dry, a touch tannic, some clover, melon, and white grape. Not bad. Tasty, a bit warm.

jredmond (8102) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Bottle shared with Vinny, Frank and Andrew. Pours a clear body. Aroma is strong fruit flavor, alcohol and flowers. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of floral booze, soap, nectarines, peaches and wine. Overall, another interesting Kuhnhenn mead thats really only faulted by its strong, somewhat overwhelming, booze character.

tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - AUG 19, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2014 Sticky sweet, like most of their mead. Honey, citrus, sweet and sticky. Hard to discern the "peach" from the "apricot", but either one or both of them are there - very sweet and tasty and fruity. Alcohol comes out as it warms, but never gets too hot.
