Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Tart aroma with faint earth and musty notes. The taste is sweet malts, tart finish and faint fruitiness. Medium bodied. Dogbrick (13168) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2011
Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is lightly funked with notes of malt and fruit. Medium body with flavors of brett, ripe fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly sour with a tart fruity aftertaste. Pretty good overall. j12601 (12736) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - SEP 16, 2011
Pouring at the Blind Tiger for Mike’s 50th birthday extravaganza. Pours a mostly clear ruby without too much head on it. Bretty, wood, light acid, and a touch of umami showing up as it warms. Softly sour, fruity, oude bruin like. Woody, soft acid, funky and wood. Dry brett, long wood and light acid on the finish. While not the wonderful pile of deliciousness that the cherry and blueberry were, this is still quite solid. hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Growler… Mostly clear burnt-orange ale with minimal head. The aroma consists of caramel, fruity acidity and a suggestion of Belgian spice. Medium-bodied with tickling carbonation. The flavor is moderately tart and fruity and mildly caramely with a hint of Belgian spice. Tangy finish with a whisper of butter. Kudos to KickInChalice for floating this growler my way! blipp (9374) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 20, 2011
Draft. Pours deep amber with a thin white head. Nice acidic and tart aroma with some earthy and woody notes. The flavor has a nice balance of brett funk and sweetness, with some light acidity and some strawberry-like fruity notes. Good stuff.

Draft at blind tiger with Andrew, Brendan, streets and baron. Originally would have guessed this was the Cherry PitH just because the fruit notes were very subdued and could only really make out cherry. Makes sense hearing that it was the straight with Brett though. Pours a hszy red. Aroma is cherry and dry fruits - citrus and pear. Mouthfeel is smooth but then finishes dry with notes of sour cherry and funk. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - AUG 8, 2014
(Backlog) Draft at blind tiger for eyedrinkale’s birthday 9/14/2011. Brune pour with no head. Cherry, oak, tart sour fruit tones. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Draft on tap at Great Taste of the Midwest 2011 (Madison, WI). Pours a nice glowing dark amber pour, frothy whitish decent sized film head laces ok. Aromas are funky, fruity, touches of pear and cheese, dry dusty brett, cobwebs. Some bread dough, pale malts, and straw, grass. Initial is lighter end of medium with dry straw, dusty brett, touches of lemon, sour apples, and dry dusty brett. Finish is crisp fruit, dry brett, some grass and straw. Backend offers dryness, decent to light sourness. Pretty quaffable, a bit dry and the funkiness grows on the palate. Earthy and barnyardy sour. A bit less complex than I hoped for or as rich. Still, nice. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - AUG 21, 2011
On Draft at the GTMW 2011. Dark amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma of apparent sourness, hay, wheat, some vinegar. Notes of funk and apparent brett. Some fruit notes, citrus, pear, green apples. Flavor is moderately sour, mild sweet notes, nice tartness. Dry bretty flavor with some fruity sourness. Mild vinegar, straw, grass, mild sweetness. Pretty nice. Slick mouthfeel, nice carbonation. Pretty cool sour base. Brigadier (3700) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - AUG 18, 2011
On tap at GTMW (2011)
I really regret not trying the other fruit infused versions of this after sampling the original. An amazing sour it was the perfect antidote to a string of similar tasting samples. Tart and arid like the desert air at midday it nips at the throat. Without feeling acidic it leaves a light aftertaste which almost made me want to jump back in line for more. Sadly other taps beckoned. If this ever goes on at the brewpub I may just have to make a trip to the area.
