Smells like red fruit amazingness. Tastes like apple juice, cherry, pomegranate, and a very slight alcohol note and warmth. MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Pours a nice light red. Aromas of sweet cherries, and earthy skins. Flavor has wonderful pomegranate up front. Mildly tart. The sweet cherry juice cuts through with notes of rich sweet honey. Mildly earthy, and very good. Another winner from Kuhnhenn. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 9, 2011
bottle... really awesome color, a light blush wine, no head... the aroma is honey with light tart cherries and a bit of sour pomegranate... the taste is really balanced, more pomegranate than the cherries but evenly split with honey as well, sweet but over powering, juicy but I like it MasterSki (8) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2011 does not count
Thanks to Dave Schuster for picking this up at Kuhnhenn for me.
A - Light pink transparent body, with some orange tints to it as well.
S - Smell is delightful - smells almost like juice, or perhaps like the pomegranate Vitamin Water.
T - Taste isn’t quite as excellent, but it’s still quite delicious. Nice notes of honey, tart cherries, and ripe pomegranate, but perhaps a hint of alcohol as well. Just not as juicy and sweet as the smell.
P - Medium in body, with lots of fruit tannins. No obvious alcohol burn. Very easy to drink - I was sad I had to share this with so many people.
O - One of my favorite meads from Kuhnhenn. Hopefully there is some left next time I’m there. If not, I hope Frank makes this one again. deyholla (11496) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Bottle thanks to Kyle. Pours a clear peachy gold with a small swhite head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a really nice note of sweet cheery with a slight tart pomegranate note. Flavor starts with honey, but mainly cherry and tart pomegranate.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear reddish amber pour with no head and some nice legs. Aroma of cherry, apple, pomegranate, a sour fruit note and honey. Cherry and honey flavor up front with some tropical fruit character before a semi-sweet cherry finish. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 7, 2011
bottle poured at kuhnhenn. reddish body...what was fantastic about this mead was the fact that it captured a true pomegranate flavor and aroma...had the mild sweetness with some great tartness and fruit skin..in the finish, sweet cherry waved in...great stuff GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 20, 2012
Nip bottle thanks to womencantsail. Clear pinkish orange. Flat, viscous. Nose is kool aid burst. Taste is not too sweet. Loads of pithy red cherries. Sweet, tangy, thick. Very nice. Thick legs on the side of the glass. Nice stuff. Fruit punch overall. Just no honey character. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 26, 2012
Thanks to Steve for this bottle. Pours a clear reddish-orange color with no carbonation. Aroma is quite fruity with a ton of cherry. I don’t get quite as much pomegranate, though. Smells a bit like red Kool-Aid. The flavor is full of sweet fruit, honey, and sugar. A light floral note and the same Kool-Aid character to it. hopscotch (11048) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle… Clear copper mead with a rose tint and centipede-like legs. The aroma is pomegranate and sour cherries with a clover honey backbone. Full-bodied and oily. The flavor is fruity and just a smidgen more acidic than sweet. Finishes tangy, raspy and then a touch dry. Bottle courtesy of KickInChalice!
