Clear deep ruby red pour without any legs. Fruity Berry nose with strawberries, grapes, floral honey, leather, minerals and orange zest. Slightly sweet, tiny sour and very tiny bitter berry taste. Thin, tiny tart, tiny astringent, tiny boozy mouthfeel. Round slightly tart pomegranate, strawberry, grape and honey finish. Solid as with many Kuhnhenn pyments but a bit too heavy on the berries contra honey and grapes and a bit too thin in the mouthfeel.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy pomegranate and berries with light-moderate honey, light apple, and red wine. It’s a transparent orangish-brown with no head. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy pomegranate, sweet apple, and berries. The finish has light-moderate honey with some red wine. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Bottle @ Kuhnhenn: Soft red color with an indigo highlight. A few very small bubbles on top. Sweet pomegranate & berry aroma with a lathering of sweet honey & mild residual fruit sugars. Flavor has a nice pomegranate bite up front that transitions into a mild red wine grape flavor, lightly vinous, but the acidity is blunted by the honey sweetness. Slightly light but still good.

Bottle. This one had some carbonation ... Poured an amberish / reddish color with no head. Lots of pomegranate, berries, and some wine. Where did that carbonation come from ...

2012 bottle. Thanks to Tammy for sharing. Pours dark red, somewhat thick, decent legs on the glass. Pomegranite and red grape nose with some honey. Starts off like a mead, big honey sweetness with the pomegranite. Finishes like a very dry red wine. Too much red wine and dryness in the finish but this was still pretty tasty.

Bottle shared with a few brahs at the bar, poured cranberry with light head if any and not much lacing. Aromas are a bouquet of roses, honey, raspberry, pomegranate, and potpourri. Flavor was wood, honey, sweet berries, and cheap perfume. I enjoyed this one for the most part but it tended to get a bit overly floral and perfumey at time. For the percentage, it was smooth as fuck. Nice honey drink. I was good to you mikey.

MeadMe (1683) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Pours a deep reddish purple. Aromas of raspberries and rich sweet honey. Flavor is wonderful. Rich raspberry and light pomme tartness. The sweetness rules though. Nice honey and candy sugar with light woody earthy tones. Wonderful flavors which a rich fresh berry sweetness carrying all the way through.

Bottle courtesy of James at a tasting at his place. Pours a clear raspberry soda color with a thin touch of white head. Candy and sweet fruit on the nose. A touch artificial, cherry and cough syrup, ludens cough drops, fruity lube. Fruity and sweet, warm and toasty. Spicy heat, alcohol, toast and warm fruit and alcohol. Lingering finish with acid and warmth. Decent enough.
