Nip bottle received in trade. Deep golden pour leaving some subtle legs on the glass with a swirl. Distinct curry nose with supporting honey, lime & coconut. Plenty of spice. Very light leathery oxidation. Tiny sweet, tiny sour & spicy taste. Soft, tiny dry, slightly astringent, tiny tart & tiny boozy mouthfeel. Very weird but I do kinda like it.

Bottle shared at schramms balcony bonanza. Poured a dark golden colour. Probably the weirdest recipe to come up with. Smell is exactly like its name, even after its age. Sweet coconut notes, light tartness of lime, maybe a bit to much curry for my liking, sweetness of honey, orange, and cardamon spice. Taste has slight heat coming from the curry spice, light lime tartness and a sweet honey aftertaste. Fun to try

Sample. Pours very clear light yellow/greenish. No head. Some legs. Aroma is of apples, spices, lime, cinnamon, ginger. Taste is of apples, spices, cinnamon, lots of alcohol, honey, ginger. Palate: Full bodied. No carbonation. Finish is almost dry. Overall: Good. Atypical. Not sure I would drink that often. Spicy (not overdone, but still, a spicy mead).

2 oz sample from tom10101, thanks a lot man! Apperance is a clear thick yellow. Aroma, ginger, lime, sweaty socks, peppermint, and curry. Really very different smelling, but very interesting nonetheless. Taste is honey, lime, ginger, and curry. Dry finish with light spice, medium mouthfeel. Overall this a really interesting mead, not overly sweet, with a variety of flavours. Very happy to have tried this!

Sample thanks to JulienHuxley. Pours a clear yellow with not much legs but still looking like a nice still mead. Nose is like strolling through an herborist shop with curry and nutmeg upfront. Some lime, too. Taste is spicy and the curry part is really evident here. Nice honey, not too sweet or cloying while still being present. Nice acidity and no traces of the alcohol content. Body is medium and coating without being heavy. The spices tingling might be helping too but they are never too much and almost subtle. Overall a really solid metheglin, I would buy that again!

2 oz sample from bottle (375 ml). Thanks to JulienHuxley. 2013 vintage.

Appearance: Clear pale yellow with sparse legs.

Aroma: Nice coconut features, fresh curry, lime, ginger and honey.

Taste: Coconut, lime, fresh curry, moderate sweetness, a bit of alcohol, ginger wow, theres a lot going on here!

Palate: Medium body. A bit oily. Zesty. Moderate spices and alcohol warmth.

Overall: I was expecting the worst from this one but this is really good! Good balance considering all this is going on here. Super tasty and flavorful. My favorite mead from Kuhnhenn so far. Color me impressed!

2oz sample, Bottle purchased in March 2013. Clear very pale straw colored pour. Aroma is spicy, curry, banana, coconut, light minty aroma, lime, lots of ginger. Taste is sweet, not nearly as spicy as I would have expected from the aroma, lots of coconut, almost banana, light lime. Palate is med bodied, slightly watery with a boozy finish, a bit thin. Better than I expected.
