187mL bottle, no date courtesy of Andy puzzl. Thanks! Clear white wine lookin’body with nice long legs. Floral perfumey white grape juice nose with some spice I can’t place. Flavor follows suit with some toasted grain, moderate sweetness follows into a semi-dry slightly alcohol warming finish. Medium full body. Very tasty.

Bottle from the brewery. Sweet, peppery, very floral aroma, notes of spearmint, a little bit of diaper. Flavor is mellow, sweet but with a light body, some notes of cinnamon, bay leaf, thyme. Surprisingly complex, balanced, very clean and drinkable.

Pale yellow. Aroma of honey, urinal mints, rest stop bathroom. Flavor is sweet, honey, bathroom mints. Odd.

Bottle. Straw-yellow/cornsilk colour. Totally still and clear. Very aromatic. Floral and fruity with a soft berryish character as well. Juicy fruit gum along with some rose and lavender on the back as well. The mead also has a touch of orange peel and cherimoya/mangosteen as well. It’s quite peppery on the finish with a creamy/silken palate that really tastes awesome. Unctuous palate, fruity finish with a kiss of alcohol cutting through it all. Awesome.

Bottle sample. Poured clear pale color with moderate white head with lasting legs. Heavy dark honey and peppermint aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and good legs. Medium raw honey peppermint sweet flavor with a rich sweet finish of moderate duration. Pleasing spicy flavor.

small nip bottle from steve. thank you sir.... first drink of the day on this fourth of july.... pours a still lightly golden completel transparent white winish pour with more of a deeper yellow hue. smooth legs with no head whatsoever..... aroma is sweet honey at first but an apparent floral and spice note quickly peaks through with lavender and gardenia flower, somewhat perfumey even.... sweet honey upfront with some more of that floral potpourri action which seem misplaced at first but the bee/flower/honey connection kind of makes sense. again this is not a typical dry mead but sweet dessert mead. there’s almost a touch of prickly spice on the backend also giving way to some heat....still better than most all of the bnektars i’ve had but less enjoy than t he previously had michitucky. really enjoying my experience with these.

hopscotch (11180) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Bottle… Nearly colorless (faint straw) mead with inconsistent, but cool, lava lamp-like legging. The bouquet is full of menthol, camphor and some type of fruit. Medium to full-bodied with a baby oil mouthfeel and no carbonation. The flavor is of sweet honey and bitter, mentholated tobacco. Quite an alcohol bite. Bitter, boozy finish. Bottle courtesy of dmschefke!

Sweetish mead, picked up from the brewery during the 09 Winter Solstice. A little spiciness, however the sweetness impedes drinkability. Still very good mead. Light yellow colour.
