A- Pours a deep black color, I could tell this was almost a gusher. The head is out of hand ... almost like overcarbonated homebrew status. S- Sweet, roasted malt notes with a tangy mettalic smell followed by a caramel scent, hints of baby diaper. I should note that the smell is a little off and because of the carbonation at this point its possible the bottle could be infected but lets press on and find out. T- Taste is lots of roasted malt followed by a thick mettalic taste. Alcohol is well hidden. At this point I dont necessarily think it is infected but it just seems off to me. M- Thick with lots of carbonation. D- This was not drinkable for me at all. I loved trying it but there were multiple things in the taste and smell that made me want to run from the hills. The high alcohol was very well hidden but thats the least of this beers concern at this point. I have to believe it was better fresh.

12oz bottle thanks to toby at 2017 RIS tasting, 2010 vintage. Near black pour, small beige head. Big roasty, boozy aroma, mild smoky character. taste adds some sweetness, not too much, more roast grains and gentle warmth. Aged very well.

Bottle at the 10th Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. 2010 Vintage. Deep brown pour with a small ring of head. Aroma is heat, deep roasted malts, and a little smoky. Tastes heavy in roasted malts, a litle smoky, and some pit fruit. Very warming. Thanks to Toby for sharing this one.

2007 bottle. The aroma is chocolate and vanilla. Pours a dark, dark brown with fully diminishing light brown head and good lacing. The taste is sweet and bitter. The body is full. The texture creamy, the carbonation lively/fizzy, the finish bitter, some funkiness going on here. This probably aged too long, hits hard, has a lot going on but just doesnt satisfy like a normal RIP. Good!

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour opaque black with minimal tan head. Nose molasses, raisin, prune, woody. Taste starts with slightly astringent alcohol, but quickly transition to red fruit, light roast, peat, and woody tannin. Still some heat even in 2010 vintage. Thick mouth feel.

From notes. Enjoyed on September 19 at Travis house. Poured from a 12 oz bottle, vintage 2010. The pour is a thinner dark brown with a small light tan head and no lace. The ring of head, however, lasts forever. The aroma is really boozy and in your face. There is a ton of roasted malts and the dark fruits are huge in this as well. There is a light chocolate, but for the most part the booze is huge, and the rest of the flavors follow suit. The flavor is again huge and boozy. There is a light roast, some chocolate, and hefty dose of dark fruits. Nothing is dethroning this booziness. The mouth feel is thick and viscous. There is a soft carbonation and a lingeringly hot, dark fruit finish. If it werent so punch you in the face boozy, this would be really good.

Oily black color with no head. Aroma is prune juice, bread, booze, and raisin bran. TSte is incredibally sweet and boozy with tons of fruit. Like a really bad port or sherry wine. Blah.
