Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a no head whatsoever. Aroma has notes of sweet flora and light fruit and honey with a hint of backing alcohol. Flavor has a good amount of flora and light apple with honey and a nice dry finish. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2011
bottle... light clear yellow beer... really interesting aroma, lots of citrusy fruit notes, passion fruit, grass, a bit of honey, beeswax, and flowers, no honey, super unique aroma that I haven’t come across before... the complexity of the nose is gone here, floral and grassy, light honey with a medicinal finish, very watery as well MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - SEP 14, 2011
Bottle says 16 percent ABV which is a bit shocking. Pours a very clear color of yellow. Nice and still in the glass. Aromas of earthy honey and wax. Smells like it did today when I cracked open my hive. The flavor is earthy and floral, a bit woody as well. Tons of wax notes as well. Like eating a nice chunk of wildflower honey comb and all. Me like! badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 7, 2011
not 16% like was mentioned. 9.3% abv from menu and bottle. clear yellow pour from small bottle. full of star fruit, apple, and honey. flavor is more dry and less intense in apple. a touch of plastic in the finish. quite enjoyable all around, nonetheless fbm115 (187) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 25, 2011
label says that this is 16% abv but there is no way. pours a bright yellow color and is still. the smell is rich beeswax and a moderate sweet honey undertone with a decent fruitiness. there is a floral undertone taste is quite rich but not sweet or alcoholic. it’s like a small spoonfull of beeswax and honey each sip. like the smell the taste is floral. there is a light alcohol to taste and feel but no where near 16%. smooth and rich without sweetness or alcohol. overall, i want more than 6oz.
