Pours cloudy yellow-orange with a slight white ring of a head that fades quickly. Aroma is of mild black tea with a slight amount of tropical fruit (pineapple, bananas, etc). Flavor is of sweet honey black tea with just a touch of fruits and a boozy finish. Quite good. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 6, 2011
Thanks to Ben for bringing the bottle! Poured almost clear, fairly straw golden with nothing going on for head.. nice color to it, and there was fine lacing following it down. The aroma picked up semi-dry honey paired with sweeter vanilla and some definite black tea presence.. a little sweeter on the back.. very intriguing. The flavor found much sweeter honey than the nose anticipated, with lesser lavender and vanilla accents.. more residual tea on the long, sweet finish.. very good stuff! Medium-bodied and sweeter on the palate, with decent integration from the tea.. enjoyed it! nickd717 (4774) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 27, 2011
Thanks to Arbitrator for this mead tick. Hazy golden in color with a small whitish head that leaves a few bubbles. The aroma is honey, candy, black tea, and very slight booze. Good flavor, lots of candy and candy corn, along with black tea and tropical fruit, mango and pineapple. Nice mouthfeel, smooth with soft carbonation an virtually no booziness. A very good mead, one of the better I’ve ticked. MeadMe (1672) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - APR 18, 2011
Pours a dirty yellowish orange, nice thick and leggy. Aromas are earthy honey, a big blast of a mixed bag of tropical fruits. Fruity freshness up front. Lots of papaya with hints of mango and a hint of guava. Very tropical and very fresh. The honey takes a step back here. Mostly about the fruit juice. The finish has a nice herbal honey note. Not sure if it is the base mead or the tea I am picking up here. Overall real nice. sarro (134) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JAN 20, 2011
Clear nip bottle with white computer paper printed label in class ic Kuhnhenn’s fashion. Pours a golden yellow with a bit of orange tint. Smell is honeydew melon, papaya, & keylime pie sweetness. Maybe even some ecto cooler Hi-C too. Mouthfeel is slick and syrupy with the black tea really coming through mid-taste and on the finish., The taste becomes more vibrant as the mead warms and comes to room temp with much more melon and "tropical" flavors emerging. Finish also seems to become dryer as the earthy tea balances out the crazy sweet flavors. Definitely drink it chilled or at room temp!

Bottle. Poured a clear deep gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma was full of tropical fruits with a bit of tea and a backing honey note. Flavor began with tropical fruits, but was joined by a tea note with a backing honey note throughout.
