UPDATED: NOV 11, 2013 2011 bottle. Pours a deep transparent red. Aroma is like cherry koolaid with a splash of a light red wine. At first taste is blueberries and cherries with a very soft feel. Some carbonation and tartness at the end. Really easy to drink. The 7% alcohol is hidden almost entirely. Good stuff.
Bottle received in trade. Thank you Brandon! Pours clear ruby red leaving some subtle legs on the glass with a swirl. Smell is fruity and floral with honey, red berries, light dark grapes, minerals and hints of alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet, very tiny sour, slightly fruity, tiny floral and tiny earthy. Mouthfeel is round, tiny dry, tiny berry skin astringent, very tiny tart, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and slightly sour with floral honey, tart red berries, juicy dark grapes, moist moss, minerals and hints of alcohol. Subtle and very elegant with lots of red berries and complex fine wine mineral character. Possibly a bit lacking in the mouthfeel but I feel that’s nitpicking. 375 ml bottle thanks to Willrunforbeer, another mead tick!, pimping... Purple color or perhaps deep Amber. Aroma is red grapes and blackberries. And honey of course. WillRunForBeer (2623) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 31, 2015
The flavor has a strong amount of grapes and blackberries. Flavor is a tad thinner for the style. Not as sweet as the 4 prior meads we just sampled. Really good Berry and grape hints.
375ml bottle from umich03jm. Pours red with a few off white bubbles. Leaves legs. Arona is honey, grape, raspberry. Flavor is sweet. Honey, grape, raspberry, cherry. Again, I wish there was more wine grape and less honey sweet. AdamChandler (4977) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 31, 2015
Thanks Brian, reddish brown appearance. Looks really nice. Lots of berry, juicy, apple and even some fig. there’s a lot of aroma in this one. Very juicy, very fruity. I have no idea what berries are in here ut it’ very dry, tannic, insanely interesting taste. Mouthfeel is dry with a finish of welch’s grape juice. unique!

UPDATED: APR 8, 2015 Bottle @ Kuhnhenn: Pink-ish, light ruby color with only a few bubbles they surface. Really juicy aroma. Notes of raspberry, blackberry, light currant, honey, hint of perfume. Gummy flavor, reminds me of those raspberry red dollar candies you get at the movie theatre. Light honey, raspberry, cherry, light touch of leafy dryness in the very finish.
