Bought @ brewery 2012. Taste with friends.
Clear rubyred color, big creamy pinkish head.
Aroma: fruits, sweet, little yeast. Medium body.
Taste:sweet, some cherry, low bitter. Sourish, sweet ending. Flocci (35) - BELGIUM - APR 29, 2013
As much as I like the products of microbreweries, every once in a while one of those beers doesn’t live up to the expectations.
Announced as a new artisanal kriekbier, this was a bit of a disappointment. It shouldn’t even be called a kriekbier, technically. It’s a witbier (I suspect it may actually even be a lager) with cherry juice blended in and then refermented.
Cherry sour smell and... well, cherries.
Taste? Too sweet, way too sweet. Okay, there’s some tartness from the cherries and a suspicious lager-ish base to it. Leaves a sticky finish. Maybe it might grow with aging, but the one we tasted was bland, flat, uninspiring.
At best, a nice try, but I for one am not sorry this was a limited brew. tderoeck (9710) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 13, 2012
11/VII/2012 - 75cl bottle from De Bierloods / Zytholoog (Adegem) @ home - BB: IX/2011 (2012-713) fonefan (49318) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2011
Clear ruby red beer, big creamy pink head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: candy, citric acidity, bit yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: chloride start, lots of citric acidity, some cherry candy, little bitter. Aftertaste: sourish, sweet candy, artificial cherry flavour, but sugary. Not the worst sweet kriek I ever had! Would not buy it again, but it someone offered me a glass, I wouldn’t refuse it.

Clear red body. Pink, creamy head. Aroma of cherries: lightly sour - sourness clearly from the sour cherries and not a lambic style sourness. Quite nice and well drinkable.
Bottle @ Early Winter Tasting, Ulfborg, 2011. Pours unclear red with a pink lasting head. Vague nose of berries and marzipan. Dry and fruity flavor with vaguely tart fruity notes. Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2011

tasting.Pours red with an off-white head .Aroma of cherries, malt, sour berries and fruitiness.Flavor is sweet cherries and fruitiness with some sourness.Medium body, average carbonation.
Bottle, 75cl, as Triest Kriek. A glowing, cherry red beer topped by a dense, pinkish white head leaving some lacings. Sour cherries and some sourish notes on the nose. A light herbal hint in the far back, and also a touch of almonds. The flavor is quite pleasant, a blend of cherries of lemon. Dry on the palate, pleasantly carbonated and medium bodied. A quite decent cherry beer, tart and tasteful, but too bland aroma. 111105 chrisv10 (17428) - DENMARK - NOV 5, 2011
