COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2008
Bottle Courtesy of Retorp. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a massive pillowy white head. Gentle settling of the head but decent retention and some graceful lacing of the glass. Aroma is slightly grassy with notes of spice, hay, bread, yeast, slight floral notes. Flavor is watery with notes of grass, wheat, bread and hops. None of the flavors are particularly strong. Light bodied with a quick finish.

sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 12, 2008
Bottled. Very pale golden with a medium, firm and lacy head. Buttery-grainy-malty nose with herby-aromatic hops and hints of metal. Dryish, slightly acidic flavor with herby hops and a reasonable body for the style. Quite light-bodied, but not watery with quite high, slightly fizzy carbonation. A decent pils, although slightly too harsh and carbonated.

tlind2 (1772) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 8, 2008
500 ml bottle. Golden color, frothy white head. Malty aroma with a touch of sulphur. Medium bitterness with plenty of bready malts. Medium-light body, high carbonation. A solid pils, but not remarkable.

markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 6, 2008
Pours a hazy yellow gold with a great white head. Aroma is grass, hay, straw, and hops. Flavor is crisp malt, bread, and hop bite with a dry finish. Bitterness lingers.

asheft (3108) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 18, 2008
Tons of hay together with some nice base malt and spicy lemon hops note. Crystal clear gold under a contiguous white flanel blanket that is very lacy. Unimpressive and standard German Pils flavour: some sweet base malt with lots of bitter hops and only a smidgeon of hops flavour. Some ethanol. Sort of tangy feel, with moderate carbonation, light to medium body, slightly bitter finish.

Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 2, 2008
11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a large head, nice retention and lacing. Grassy aroma with some grainy notes. Grainy and slightly fruity taste with a touch of a bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle: Golden colored pour with nice sized head. Grainy, citrus aroma. Light fruity, hoppy citrusy finish.

BigBeer45 (1562) - Michigan, USA - SEP 19, 2008
Bottle, has a clear straw and light gold pour with a white medium sized head and some effervescence, leaves creamy lacing on the glass, aromas of pilsner malt and light bread, there are faint grass fragrances, flavor is the same as the aromas, has some sourness on the palate, mouth feel is lighter then medium and creamy in the mouth, a nice drink.

Nate (4296) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 29, 2008
From bottle. Nice classic German pils aroma. Beany spicy hops, fresh. Light sweet pilsner malt with just a bit of sulfur. Pleasant and reminiscent of visits to beer halls. Pale golden clear with creamy white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Light carbonic fizziness. Starts with light pils sweetness, light sulfur and some carbonic acidity. Beany spicy hops flavor, with mild bitter character in the finish. Light and refreshing. A bit soft in the end. Nice pils.

3.3
troopie (2439) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - AUG 25, 2008
Bottle. Poured pale gold with foamy white head. Pleasant malt aroma, but very light. Light crisp flavour, soft. Faint hop finish, a tiny bit of citrus. Light for a hot day, after labour, or as a session bier round the fire.
