Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Dorata pallida, limpida, schiuma bianca di buona persistenza. Aroma di malto che richiama il mais. Al palato abbastanza neutrale con una bella coda amara erbacea e pepata. Corpo medio-leggero, ben carbonata, buona bevibilità.

On tap at Olde Forge in Lanesborough, MA. Clear straw yellow pour with aroma of grass and some lemon. Lemon flavor with grass, and spice. Easy drinker. Very nice for the style.

felsenpils (172) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 22, 2015
0.33 liter bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a dense white head. The aroma is clean and very neutral with perhaps a touch of malt. The flavor is extremely clean with a finish of dry hops. I do not notice any hop oils in the aroma or the taste which is normal for modern German pilseners. The original gravity of 11.3° Plato is quite low and this makes the mouthfeel a little thin. Such is the nature of modern German pilseners. This beer is ok, but way too expensive. The original gravity and the IBU´s need to be bumped up a bit.

33 cl bottle .Yellow colour wit medium head. Burnt rubber and rice/corn aroma. Malt, butter, metal and bit too sweet for a decent pils .Medium body and carbo with bitter finish.

Weak grainy and malty aroma. Taste is quite bitter for the style, some buttery nuances are present in the finish. Medium and slightly dry body. Better than your average Pilsner, for sure.
