Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Bottle. Clear yellow / golden color with a average fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty and hoppy, straw. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 23, 2006
Bottled. Golden colour, with minor white head. Aroma standard pilsnerish, thought the malts have a very vegetably touch. Flavour also quite standard pilsener, malts and hops, and quite salty.

omhper (25941) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2017
Bottled at TEJA tasting. Clear pale golden, small head. Grassy nose with some DMS. Fruity and oily with hop extract and butter. Resinous bitter finish. Industrial.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Normally a Southern-German pils is expected to be less bitter than their Northern counterparts. But this is an "Edelherb" and hence rather hoppy - both bitter but also with a lovely aromatic hoppiness. Still this has room for a certain softness in body. Straw golden with a nice creamy head. 291099 and 060903
