COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Lightly spicy herbal aroma. Pale golden with rocky head. A bity dusty, a touch of cookie, but not much else in the malt department. Moderate bitterness, average malt character, moderate-full bodied, some straw and honey, a bit flabby in the finish. Unoxidized (apparently fresh bottle) Moderately bitterstweet finish.

Found this one bottled at the World Market in St. Charles, Illinois. Crystal clear, light yellow pour with a thick, white head. Light nose of grassy hops. Clean, balanced palate. Weak finish. This is an absolutely typical pilsener in every respect.

Clear golden yellow appearance, soft hops aroma, above average bitterness for a pils.

Light blonde, small head. Herbal aroma. Slightly herbal in the taste, frsh,, like a smooth soft pilsner with fine bubbles. not bad.

rjplumer (1239) - Foxboro, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Pale burnt yellow. Starts off with a two finger head but fades to a quarter inch film. Has a grassy malt aroma. Crisp malt taste. mild bitterness. Refreshing and feels light. I’d be happy to have this one again.

esox (1226) - Oulu, FINLAND - FEB 28, 2013
Bottled. Clear golden pils, loose/lacy head. Sweetly grassy and mildly floral hop aroma. Some grainy notes, a hint of sulphur. Dryish taste with sweeter bread flavors. Moderately bitter finish. Quite soft texture, light to medium body. Could be fresher and more bitter.

Dermi (1199) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 23, 2012
50 cl, bottled. Pours clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma: Malt, pleasant grassy hops. Taste: Moderately sweet, light-medium bitter. Palate: Medium body, quite light and soft. A bit thin, not watery though. Carbonation could be stronger. Nice and modest pilsener.

mikkopen (1197) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 30, 2012
500 ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour, medium-sized white head. Sweetish aroma of bready malt and grassy hops. The flavour is bready-malty, with a mildly grassy-hoppy finish. OK.

nice foamy head rests atop a light straw-colored body. nicely malt background but with a thinnish mouthfeel. very refreshing, even at slightly warmer temps but fairly insubstantial overall. no flaws, but no major positives either.
