A hazy dark orange beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, and caramel. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel - slightly burnt, malt, yeast, and prunes, the finish is somewhat roasted. The mouthfeel is a little flat.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Dark, deep amber-colour with a tint of red - small head. Very malty nose and pronounced roasted malt flavours. Highly carbonated. Very discreet sweetness, actually more dry than sweet. Rather pleasant but lacks a bit of character and finesse to be excellent. Actually I miss some sweetness here. 260505

Warning! Early amateur rating! Juciy full bodied beer. Subtle treacle undertone. Only slight bitterness. Long finish. Very nice indeed!

Leighton (21299) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2015
Bottle shared by a group of men in Colin’s hotel room during the Bamberg Jolly of 2014. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy white head. Rich, with lots of bready malts, a bit of toffee. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Very sweet on the finish, quite rich, with lots of bread and toffee. Good beer overall, though certainly sweet and rich.
