COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2017 Særdeles god øl inden for denne type. Dejlig frisk smag. Savner noget mere smag af humle. Kedeligt udseende

Bottle from Trinkgut somewhere in Germany. The beer is cloudy amber colored and has a small and unstable creamy head, with ok carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity, with notes of caramel, honey, yeast, dried fruits and a hint of spices. The taste is medium malty sweetness, with notes of bread, yeast and sweetness of fruits, caramel and honey. The finish is light bitter and dry and yet a little refreshing.

Bottle. Cloudy Amber in colour. Malty; sweet toasty (lightly roasted) malts, caramel, hint of toffee. Hoppy; grassy hops. Fruity; apples. Nice malt/hop balance. Sweet malty throughout with grassy hops. Dry in the finish. Very drinkable. (2010-02)

Bottle. Hazy amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is bready, yeasty, a bit floral and fruity. Taste is bready, fruity, floral, a bit dusty, sweetish. Oily mouthfeel, natural carbonation. A bit too muted and simple, but quite enjoyable!

Bottle. Cloudy Amber orange. Big head with nice lacing. Aroma is rather weak. Damp basement, earthy and some grassy hops in the background. Taste is yeasty and fruity. Lemons. Aftertaste is sour and bitter. Goes down easy but like most Mönchshof beers it left me unsatisfied.

0,5 bottle: hazy dark orange color with light to medium bitter taste, intense roasty aromas like coffee and wood. Very enjoyable

Bottle, lightly hoppy bitter, touches of toffee, crisp and tasty. Like a German take on a decent English Best Bitter.

DandyWolfFloyd (1202) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2016
Aroma - syrupy malt, slightly nutty, a little toast as well. Appearance - the body is hazy brown, the head is beige and about 1 1/2", and slowly settles into thick slice of head. Stretched and occasional lacing. Taste - has a unique malt nature, slight syrup-caramel nature, some toast, a bit of oaky wood, a little nuttiness. Palate - medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, malty finish.
