Lovely deep mahogany color. Very little nose - just a touch of roast. Effervescence on tip of tongue, very mild and drinkable with a pop of roasted malt in the back. Also a hint of hop. A mild cereal roast hangs around after you’re done. An autumn brew.

Swing top bottle. Dark brown to black color. Nearly opaque. Cloudy. Rocky head. Pleasant aroma, chocolate, roasted grain, biscuity malty. Flavor similar to a Munich Dunkel. Rich chocolate, roasted grain, medium body. Dark malt. Nice. Creamy mouthfeel.

Ganske god mørk øl. Tilpas med sødme i smagen. Flot mørkt øl. Savner noget bitterhed.

Draft at the Flying Saucer, KC. Pours almost black with a little bit of off white head. First taste was sweet with a bit of bourbon and molasses flavors. Shortly after that my taste buds were set on fire by the San Miguel burger I had with the beer. A good beer that I need to try again without the spicy food to accompany it.

One of those nice ceramic top bottles, scratched up a bit to begin with (re-use, not recycled). This is a decent enough schwarzbier, dark, malty and thick on the tongue. On the sweet side. Very slight chocolatey roast. It’s lightness may be an issue for some, but that’s supposed to be OK for the style.

First Schwarzbier I’v ever tried. 500ml bottle. Pours a dark coffee brown with a tan head. Kind of a dark Pils, lager type thing. Nose is slightly sweet bread, nutty roasted malt. Taste is similar with a slightly bitter finish. Very nice and I need to try more of this style.
